In regard to Point 1: To me, its only a matter of how a person see things. Urbanized has its beauty, but village life has theirs too.
In regard to Point 2: For them, they have been living life in vietnam for decades, that's why they yearn for something new.
For us, maybe not all but some, we have been living live in Singapore for decades, and that's why we are looking for places to break free or start anew.

Yes she can marry another Singaporean man, but when it comes to applying long term stay for her, you may face more trouble. ICA will view her with suspicion as she was married to another Singaporean man before just for a few months and now, another Singaporean man.
