What is the purpose pretend to be wealthy if he is not? It creates WL's expectation and asks him out sooner or later to buy them luxious gifts. He has to deliver to prove that.

Seriously, the market has changed quite rapidly the last few years in my opinion. If you were earning between 10-15k in 2010 thereabouts, you better be earning 20k-30k to enjoy the same standard of living. I think there is a thread that someone was complaining about 10k money still not enuff to feed a family and that I agree with wholeheartedly.

But than again, this pressure is definitely felt around the world in my opinion. Last time can bonk a girl whole night for $300-500. Now asking price goodness knows what lo! Prices for houses has gone up not for SG but also PRC, which is crazy. I think I have shared before the way things are going, sooner or later PRC gals will not head to our shores or if they do, they will demand a lot lo! I think an apartment in Guangzhou can cost u easily 1 Million to 2 Million just like SG which I think is almost insane. Inflation has eroded our value for money lo. If you are a saver, your money has basically lost value in the last few years lo by in my opinion about 50% which is a lot.

Now, having said that. Anyone who has disposable income of $150 per shot and does it regularly isn't that poor. Just how much he is willing to really sacrifice for the other party that is all. Just whether worth it or not.
