yesterday saw the internet spot rate went up to 2.48 level. went Archade, some say no more ringgit. some say 2.43 only. some say only limited ringgit.
today already reach 2.49.
wonder when the money changer will adjust the rate. will try again tomorrow.

Some one asked why Singaporeans must buy Malaysian properties that are not pre-owned or off the plan. This is because it provides jobs for Malaysians and drives their economy. The same for us planning to buy Australian properties.

Is there a shortage of ringgit in S'pore? I tried to change this morning at Toa Payoh and the gal said no stock !!

Went to Rochor to take JB taxi and tried again on the way there at Peace Centre..... the ah neh moneychanger say got to wait for his friend to bring the ringgit.

Just wondering how much they charge u to jb including toll fees?

today noon called the $changer at archade, opposite POSB one. was told 2.445.
Then today evening, at JB along tebrau highway, seen hanging 2.43 but normally is 2.43+0.025 = 2.455. slightly higher then S'pore.
let see if things change tomorrow. not sure wat profit these $changers looking at. anyone can share their tricks?

Notice that the exchange rate display by all these money changers at JB Jln wong ah fook are the same. If one of them put 245 the other will sort of follow suit. But when come to changing (especially bigger amount), always tend to give different rate. It is really up to your bargaining power.

Also observe there is a tendency that when weekend is approaching e.g. friday night onwards, the JB money changers will offer a lower exchange rate as they knew there will be a strong demand of the ringgit by sporean and msian who comes over to JB to spend money.

Therefore, try to avoid changing money during weekend unless it is urgent.
