Based on the "Probables" lineup during their last training session I could not recognize many names. Klopp opted for 4-3-3 formation

Randall - Ilori - Enrique - Smith
Stewart - Allen - Branigan
Ojo - Benteke - Texeira

Joe Allen & Benteke are the only players I recognize.

I would take this draw all things considered but yet another match ain't going help our already packed schedule and severely depleted first team.

Quite happy generally with all the youngsters except Ilori who was poor. Shout outs to Smith, Teixiera and Kent who looked impressive. Chirevella and Ojo looked quite good as well when they came on.

However, Bogdan was suspect again and captain for the day Benteke was aimless and pretty dismal once again.

Bigger fish to fry next. Just hope the Redmen are fit and up for it.

2-2 draw is good that we are still in another cup.

I felt like I was watching an under-21 match despite having Benteke on the field.

Enrique looks totally rusty and I do not blame him. However, I'm not sure why is the club hanging on to him.

If the rumours are to be believed, Chelsea is keen on Benteke. I think Liverpool should cash in on him but for nothing less than £32.5 million.

Club is just seeing his contract out, his contract is till June. The biggest joke will be Chelsea bids for CB.

Agree with your analysis. Looks like you did watch the match .

I might just want to add a few more pointers :

1) The pitch was in bad condition.

2) The team was put together at a short notice . So to put in a spirited performance only means great hope for the future .

3) The 3 seniors in the team were considered flop . Even if CB was made captain it was really difficult to see him play . He is indeed a headless gorilla.

4) I am sure if the team have had more time together they would have won the game. I am in favour of keeping the same team for the replay minus the 3 senior players .

Nonetheless a great result from the young ones.
