Any hotel in the range of RMB200 ~ RM300 to recommend in the shamian area, understand it is a backpackers area.
Would be going to GZ around the 3rd week of August too..

Dunno about backpackers area, but its home to Guangzhou's most expensive White Swan Hotel.
