In TH if you have money, nearly everything is possible. Many years ago, my thai friend went to Sherbet, saw a girl caught his eyes, he throw 15k bht to make her go out with him that night.

Think you will do more than alright, if you do a quick serach (in this thread) on Muse. Was there years back, a popular (and crowded) in-place with live bands. A "with it" place, kind of zoukish Thonglor crowd. Can't even find a table on fri/sat nights. Not sure still there.

Think much has been writen on Funky (not been there myself, this old fart). Sherbet is some G-club

A few years back Muse was as popular as Funky. When I was in Bkk last month, went to muse on one of the night. Crowd was only so so, many empty tables.

Funky still as popular as ever, and the first set band, the main singer, her voice was like POWER! Surprisingly this club has no much changes, and drinks still cheap compare to RCA. Gold label at 2k bht.

Thonglor area, now either funky, or nang len. Can forget about Muse. Sidetrack abit, Muse manager was murdered last year at car park.

You mean the last week of Dec toward NY eve.? I might be around as always.

A non membership price is a damn expensive in any G clubs and not worth it, better to go with friends that have a membership. Beside whisky with free mixers & Ktv, you get 20% discount on LD and foods too. One cheaper way, is just to buy some beers w/o gal LD and watch the scene around.

Yes, your friend is right as Sherbet is losing customers to Czech and or Piano-Forte (after re-opening).
