i think we are okie this season with the currebt players.
just that some key players r out due to injuries.

there were times that our team played very well with a full squad but jus hope we can have full strenght team more often.

just my view.

so 5th & 6th spot qualify for UEFA?

Then we may need to deepen the squad in order to mount a serious challenge next season.

Only 5th spot will do coz the other 2 places are going to the winners of the FA Cup and League Cup.

It is difficult for Everton to challenge for the title unless Moyes is miraculously given a huge transfer kitty.

Otherwise Moyes has to rely on his overseas contacts to buy players of Cahill, Arteta and maybe Yakubu qualities on the cheap.

Size of squad and quality on the bench are important as well.

Time to get rid of deadwoods like van de Meyde and Gravesen. Their wages can allow Moyes to sign a couple of top physios to ensure AJ, Cahill and Baines are fitter.

We certainly need a bigger squad and reduce reliance on Arteta n Cahill. I feel that Phil Neville's best position is at right back. Looking across the backline, we seem to be pretty well stocked in this area. Same goes for our strike force.

Midfield is the one that is an area of concern. We really need another player to take the load off Carsley.

Arteta is also performing very badly nowadays. Perhaps he is affected the transfer talk coming up in the summer.

Judging from the string of poor performances lately, we will be very lucky to hold on to 5th spot.

We definitely need reinforcements - especially the midfield area. There was little support ammunition for the frontline throughout the whole match. I would like Moyes to ID his "extra spark" this summer!

It will be a miracle if he can get some competitive minutes under his belt; not to say starting a game. I have a feeling that Everton is just letting him run down his contract.

Ok what...after spending £11.25 million for Yakubu + the recently concluded £2 million for Pienaar compared to the £27 million for Torres, £11.5 million for Babel & £17 million for Mascherano to fight for 4th place. Not a bad achievement.

I am always greedy.

But the squad really needs some fine-tuning before challenging for top honours. The midfield is surprisingly weak without Cahill and Arteta. Pienaar n Fernandes r not the X factor we are missing now. Carsley is also getting old and there is no able replacement in sight.
