Hi to all bros out ther,

need some advice from you.

I have a PRC gf who is here on student pass. She wanted to bring in her parents for social visit and when she approach her school to help, they reply it is not possible.

so now, i m the only person she can turn to.

1) Can she apply for both her parents to come on her own?
2) If cant, then am i able to apply on her behalf?
3) I have went on to ICA website, but limited information. Except that the sponser had to pay a sum of $$$$. Nver state how much oso
4) Since i m not related to any of them, will ICA still allow me to sponser them?
5) Other than filling out the forms in the website, what else must i take note of.

Please advice.

how long does a LTSVP last? Is it renewable on expiry? is it almost impossible to get pr as my soon to be wife has no education background at all?
She has commited an offence in other country before, will it post a problem when applying for pr? will ica has access to crimical records overseas? i heard that a brother here knows ica inside out, can that brother please pm me and answer my question, many thanks to u..

3) Security deposit should be S$1000 per pax
4) Yes can apply as friends
5) That documents that need to be produced are in order

I am not working in ICA & just trying to help & share info.....my answers are gained from my own experiences & may not be totally correct.....bros who know more welcome to contribute & enlighten us thanks

6 months to 1 year.....last time saw pple granted 2 years one but recently asked ICA officer they say no issue 2 years one anymore....
Not impossible....ICA look at spouse income & education main factor....
imho, no found out no problem....ICA dont have other countries criminal records unless your wife wanted by Interpol.

Actually there are so many tour groups from PRC reaching Singapore everyday. There are so many holiday tours being organised by PRC, why is there still a need to apply for her parents when they can just go to any tour group and join a holiday package to come singapore.

There are so many kinds of tour, so there is no need for him to apply for her parents and put in any sponsorship money. Correct me if I am wrong, if coming via tour group need to have some sort of sponsorship money, then I think many PRCs will not even want to step into Singapore. Since there is no need, why go through the complicated method and don't even need to fork out a single cent of sponsorship, neither need to go thru ICA.

Yes bro SC I agree but from his post I guess maybe the bro was referring to a longer term of stay for his gf's parents. Tourists still apply for visas & need to pay security deposits but it is fork out & taken care of by the tour agencies.

Bro blackcat, fyi.... any visa more than 3 months is considered a LTSVP. Of course it is renewable, but it's entirely based on case to case basis.

As for her offence, I remembered there's a clause in the form for her to declare that she has not committed or being convicted any offence in singapore or any country. Be honest in that form. ICA can check that, even if you have falsely declared in that form.

Singapore you can marry anyone you like....it is still a "free" country in this aspect......but once work permit holder marries you her permit will be cancel asap & she be sent home.....
