Thinking of going to Bangkok and not sure which area to book a hotel at. Could any bros please give some pointers of the pros and cons?
Nana: There's the usual Nana and Themae, but Nana gogo girls do seem overpriced. Are the freelancers pretty? Lots of shopping malls and cafes a few stations away. Less options on Fiw compared to Ratchada. Nearer to the cluster of massage shops around Phra Phom, though the girls there seem to be average at best.
Ratchada: The area of soapies, more options on Fiw. There's the night market there but doesn't seem to have anything else going besides that. Anyone stay here for their holidays or do you just grab here from other stations like Asoke, Nana, Siam?

I usually just grab or bolt motorbike to Rachada because sukhumvit more versatile. Depends on what you want to do outside of the ladies.
I would say wherever you chose to stay ensure it's near fun time in case you met a landmine and makan joint. For me I would stay near asoke area as it is walking du tance from anywhere be it bj bar or karsai etc.
I prefer the phrom phong area, you’re right in the middle of massage action, halfway between asoke and thonglor, and good hotels, shopping, meal options.
I’ve stayed at ratch for a month. i like ratchada for the local feel. Soapies with a certain type of asian look (pale tall skinny), less bimboish i think. It is only nice if you want to get away from tourists and you really want to go to soapies often.
If I’m just going for hassle free quickies and mostly focusing on work or other stuff, phrom phong is the best. If freelancers, gogos, lbs, then nana
I've always stayed in in between Nana and Asoke BTS station. So much to do there and so accessible to the BTS and MRT along with Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, Terminal 21. You have plenty of 2 stars to 5 stars hotels to choose from.

Me, too, last trip, I stayed in one hotel between Nana and Thermae, pretty convenient to any place for fun.
