Yes . Botak Cun in batam center is famous with their char kwe tiaw and Wofen kwe tiaw.

@nono : yes Bawang mean Garlic, they only crash the garlic without peeling it and mix onto the chicken and marinate em , after that they fried em together.\

Nearby there , outside Ereenzu you will find some foodcourt with some stall and ofc the grilled fish ~ its one of local spot for cheaper seafood

Just want to say thanks to those who even bothered to share these makan places. Good or bad, cheap or expensive is really upto individual preferences when it comes to food. You might find it too sweet and I might think it's bitter, just be thankful when people are willing to share. No reason to start a fight here, it only make others hesitate to recommend anything in future. After all who would like to share out of good will and then get scolded.

I only mentioned that my 2nd visit to MLS was a disappointment and the whole matter can blow out of proportion. I was amazed.
Even the 2nd visit to MLS was a disappointment but still I will go there for seafood dinner. Just like some bros said, right place but wrong timing.
It happened to me too when I 1st visited Atalanta. Right place wrong timing. It is only my 2nd visit to Atalanta which turned out better.
My friend used to dine at Wey Wey seafood so maybe he not used to wait for so long. I believe in 慢工出细货. If you rushed to do something, most of the time the result will not turn out to be the one you hoping for, right?
My 1st visit to MLS with my gf, we waited quite some time but we didn't chase for it, instead we waited patiently and the results turn out marvellous.
For those who complained about flies, which country don't have files? It is not an aircon shop. If so worried about files, go aircon mall to eat or best still, stay in your home and don't travel oversea.

Regarding about golden bird (sedona), I was surprised of the sudden drop of their girls standard few days ago. I brought my friend there as 1st stop, supposed to be the best but turned up to be the worst of the day. Ironically, we both booked 1 girl each from one of the "danger" place MM massage and the results surprised me and good.

FR on my first virgin trip 2D1N with a buddy.

Did spent some time reading on this particular thread before going down and thanks to all the contributors here especially bro nono with his great knowledge of Batam , made our first trip pretty smooth.

Horizon ferry's procedure and SOP follow by cab to Hotel.

Hotel stayed was at 89 Hotel a little further away from Harbour Bay , had a friend booked under his company for 2 grand superior rooms at 450k each plus breakfast. Rooms were pretty spacious BUT it has no
safebox(apparently only some rooms had them) , passports will be kept at the hotel counter.

After putting our stuff we proceed to lobby and starts our adventure , hotel guard got us a driver to bring us to our first destination(Goldbird/Sedona) , we did not know how to quote as both of us didn't know how to speak Bahasa Indo and we had no data sim with us to use google translate after some pointing and broken english communication it's at 50k , I did try to negotiate but it's not going to work since it's raining heavily and he's the only driver available at that time.

Told driver to wait for us once we reached goldbird as the rain was pretty heavy. Did some google image earlier and seen some difference to the current , apparently the "goldbird" name wasn't there anymore , barge into the wooden door to see what kind of surprises we are going to see in there. We are greeted by the Teochew Papi wearing glasses , there were about 8-12 girls and more still doing their hair at the 2nd room. Quality of the girls was quite bad , only 1 SYT that barely passed the mark at a million. My buddy passed and I decided to try experiencing negotiating with a OKT in Batam for the first time lol.

The talks only lasted about 4-5mins and you bet it fails , Papi also mentioned more and more SG guys started doing the same stuffs. Also he has given the looks that I'm definitely not being able to talk him out of it hence he stays firm then I looked at the girl once more , not smiling , seems uninterested then I decided not to waste much of my buddy's time and move on.

Since the rain is still ongoing , we had our first "cheap" meal at the coffeeshop opposite goldbird. Ordered 2 plates of fried rice and 2 teh Os from the chinese speaking uncle on the right. Total dmg 70k + 17k Cig for driver. Board the MPV and told the driver "New berry" and he returns with a ok.(so I get the idea he should know where is all the joints) but still we didn't discussed anything about the price for booking him the whole day. (gave him 400k at the end of the day and he's happy with it)

Reached New Berry and we were ushered in by Papi Ah-Ming , also about 10-12 girls. We got the OKT to recommend us as we didn't want to spent time browsing joints already , getting late and itching for massage. So we took 2 decent looking ones at 1m each as OKT told us the 1.2-1.5m SSYTS tends to give problems , we will have to take risk.

Next stop we went to Altalanta for Spa package , vip 370k per pax excluding specials. That's when I decide I should succeed in bargaining at least once lol and so I did got myself a 100k HJ by my pissed off masseur named Aulia. I rejected all her offers from 500k downwards and finally she couldn't hold her cool anymore after 200k. From smiling face become black plus mumbling curses at me , although I got 1 but I don't feel good being cursed at. She gave in at the very end but I tipped her 150k after deed. (she's on PMS , I only get to roam top)

Overall it was a great experience for me and my buddy , both of the New Berry girls were really OWE as promised by OKT , Mine was especially weird as she's totally in her own world kind , I wonder if she's on Obat lol. Did not have to worry much about her even without a safebox as she's only glued to having sex and surfing her facebook. Burned 4 rounds that night , could have more from her but I'm already done emptying my tank. Tipped her 200k and send her off at 9.30am next day.

Total damage for our 2D1N is about 350 SGD each , big billshocked on our food and beers at Windsor foodcourt but still a good experience trip for me as the overnight was good.

Ordered drunkard prawn, fried tofu and two veg dishes. Total cost about 350idr. That to me was a steep and it was my first and last time going there.
I have to agree that that place is a tourist trap.

I think the purpose of this thread is to aid newbies or even old-timers with updates on the Batam scene. I think I have seen enough of the debate on MLS and now with information from both sides (yay and nay) and I feel it should stop.

I think most people would have got your points across already. Let's move on and return to the very essential of what this thread is about.

Recently came back frm my btm trip. Went to yr secret joint & tried a girl there,hmm..not bad. 700k for an 21 year old SYT tat i'd rate 7.5/10 in looks. Very OWE indeed. The bad is i find her pretty loose dwn there.Got give birth to 2 babies b4. Mayb bcos it's cheap & she got many booking due to that price. Or mayb my little bro too small...lol.

700k for a syt,i think pay & put her on display in my rm naked without bonking her also well-worth my money.(i had 3 shots)

Thanks for your feed back about this Marine seafood. Stupid and stubborn people here will say you are my clone. They won,t admit that one is NOT wrong to promote his friend restaurant but to gather together and sing in the same tone to let samsters here go makan is totally wrong.

Reason for the AGENDA is that he don,t want to lose this restaurant that sell the best seafood in batam and very very cheap for batam standard. He say the place is not in the tourist place. If that place is not in the tourist place then is call in the jungle and mountain place is it...lol?

The right thing to do is just say. Come my dear samster bro and friend. I got a friend that open a seafood restaurant . He don,t use taxi to bring business for him. ( WHOSE FAULT). Now his business is very poor but his food is very tasteful . Can all come and support him.

If he did the above as i mention, and his food is really tasteful . Sure got people come and come again and business will flourish.

Honesty is the best policy. Tasteful , cheap or expensive people try already will know.

@John, there will always be both detractors and protractors. And there will be the ignorant/inexperienced who are suspect of anything - integrity and whatnot. Bottomline : dun care. get angry/frustrated is only hurting ownself in the end. Just share for all to read.

Next time, MUST bring you to Botak Cun - haven't write FR yet bcs going again tonight with the same old laojiao local couple who knows where is good and cheap etc, and brought me there last night. Botak Cun is *fantastic*. Trivia : Rony's master is Botak Cun himself (and Rony was just a kitchen-helper). Hand-to-God - Botak Cun is the "ambassador" of Medan cuisine in Batam, in my books (2nd is AMei near HAi Ou). Period.
