15) Now u should have reach ur hotel & for those have not change money just walk a bit more after Maxi hotel where u will see a Long Beach ( 1st photo below) but Quite expensive, imo. Location is juz few metres away from/same row as Maxi Hotel.


16) Opposite it u will see the money changer which I will change for the best rate in TBK as photo show below


17) As for how to go down to Villa or Ruko ask the hotel reception for the driver to fetch u & once select ur Cewek (Gals) & pay the OKT the driver will fetch u back to the hotel & plz tip the driver Rp 20k if u able.

Balai jetty guy take kopi money openly. Sad to say that they practice this. Batam still not that bad. But balai really nothing to shop unlike batam. Balai only transport and food is cheap. Went rukku at around 3 plus indo time, book a ger for 500k and "force" to do 3 times as she wanted more tips, luckily my wallet inside I put 100k only so she no choice. She left at 7am indo time. Maxi driver only drive around balai n going jetty only taxi driver does?

First thing of all I do agreed with u tht TBK not much shopping issue but I did mention in my previous post tht TBK is more to peace & quite mean more to relax issue.

As for Maxi driver they able to bring u around like going to Villa or Ruko or even like massage area or eating location which u only tip them like 20k while taxi driver cost more like they will get commission from OKT 50k & most of the time they will join u makan or even take commission from massage 20k. Last when u going back u need to pay a certain amount to the taxi driver 50k-100k.

Thks Don28 will do more when im free. For example like more budget issue on how to get to those location like massage, going to ruko, villa & even food location with pictures.

never did give and never will give kopi money to the tbk custom officer, just act blur ok already.

balai is a place to relax, village place, not like btm city with all the malls and stuff, thats why its special. quiet and simple.

don't get what you mean by forced to do 3 times, but end of the day give 100K tips 99% of the gals will smile and say thanks. so bro please no spoil market by giving more.

good thing about balai, only 2 locations for farms,concentrated no need go round whole town to look for bonk. maxi or gabion hotel driver will gladly drive you to joints and jetty, maxi driver who work late will drive you to silver river to eat seafood dinner. other place, as u say nothing else there so why need to go other place.

Many years ago Tg Balai used to be a place that was laid back and cheap so many of us go there to relax and recharge our batteries.
Then a few years ago some investors decided to move in and prices started to rise. It came to a point where it is not worth the money spent going there anymore. Tg Balai was still a laid back place to relax but it was no longer cheap.
Hence many of us decided to boycott that place. I have not been back there for a long long time...... I think my last trip there was about 2 years ago.
For the same amount of money that I have to spend in TG Balai..... I can enjoy better in several other cheong locasi.

Balai is not dead. There are still gems around if you are lucky... There are even a few situations when i reach harbour front at 6.45-7am and tixs all sold out. instead went to batam sekupang and take domestic ferry to Balai.
