SINGAPORE - Zhang Jin Wei, 19, was angry that his 14-year-old girlfriend had spent the night at the house of another boy, Jiang Ze Xin. A meeting was arranged to settle the dispute.

But Jin Wei ended up being hospitalised after the meeting went awry. A 28-year-old man was also injured in the confrontation.



According to the Shin Min Daily News, Jin Wei met Ze Xin, 18, at a badminton court near Block 115 Teck Whye Lane on Sunday (May 29) evening.

"I wanted to clarify matters but before I could even talk, I was beaten up by Ze Xin and his father," Jin Wei told the Chinese evening daily.

"I am still attached (to the 14-year-old girl). She should not have gone to Ze Xin's house and spend a night there."

The elder Jiang, who accompanied his son to the meeting, was armed with a bamboo pole which he used to beat Jin Wei and the 28-year-old man, Yang Zi Yi.

Ze Xin's ex-girlfriend, Miss Huang, 19, told Shin Min Daily News that Ze Xin had been cheating on her with the 14-year-old girl.

Former S.League player killed in Bangkok after domestic dispute; girlfriend's ex-husband arrested.

He went to Bangkok to watch a football match and made plans to meet his nephew.

But former S.League footballer Sivaneswaran Ramalingam, 29, failed to turn up for their meeting last Friday.

Yesterday, Mr Rajandran Ramasamy, 64, told The New Paper that he later found out to his horror that his Bangkok-based nephew had been killed on Saturday after a dispute with his live-in Belgian girlfriend of five years, Ms Sarah Gieghase.

The alleged killer was another Belgian - her business partner - whom Mr Rajandran knew only as "Kevin".

Yesterday, in a phone interview from Bangkok, a Thai police officer told TNP that Kevin is Ms Gieghase's former husband.

The officer, who declined to be named, added that Kevin had been arrested for committing grievous hurt, not murder, as he had not intended to kill Mr Sivaneswaran.

He said the incident was sparked by a domestic dispute in the couple's condominium apartment during which Mr Sivaneswaran was violent towards Ms Gieghase.

Kevin and a friend showed up at the apartment after Ms Gieghase called her parents for help.

The officer said Kevin intervened by restraining Mr Sivaneswaran in a chokehold, but he had not meant to kill him, only to subdue him.

When police officers arrived at the apartment, Kevin was still holding on to Mr Sivaneswaran's neck, he added.

The officer also said Ms Gieghase had wanted to separate from Mr Sivaneswaran since October last year.

According to Singapore's National Environment Agency's permit to cremate Mr Sivaneswaran's body, he had died of strangulation.

Mr Rajandran, who is self-employed, expressed concerns over the circumstances surrounding his nephew's death.

He told TNP at the wake in Bishan before Mr Sivaneswaran's cremation yesterday: "How can it not be murder? My nephew has been killed. I don't think Siva was violent towards Sarah. I know my nephew.

"He's not a violent man and they have a three-year-old son together. They were a loving couple and she even came to Singapore in April to celebrate the wedding of Siva's brother."

Mr Sivaneswaran was an S.League footballer with Sengkang Punggol (now Hougang United) in 2010.He joined Thai Premier League side Chonburi FC at the end of the season that year.

Mr Rajandran said he last spoke to his nephew last Thursday evening just before flying to Bangkok, and that Mr Sivaneswaran had promised to meet him the next day.

He waited for him at a football stadium and became worried when he failed to show up.

Early on Saturday, his brother, who is Mr Sivaneswaran's father, called from Singapore to say that his nephew was in trouble.

"My brother told me that my nephew could even be dead. I rushed to his condo. It was like a nightmare," he said.

At the ground floor, he met Ms Gieghase, who tearfully told him: "The body has just left."

She told him that they had a misunderstanding that morning.

Mr Rajandran said: "She told me that she phoned her parents when Siva tried to assault her. The parents then called Kevin and another Belgian man for help.

"Sarah said she let them into the condo and then left the apartment. She said she didn't know what exactly happened next. She later called Siva's father, who then phoned me."

Mr Rajandran said Mr Sivaneswaran's father flew to Bangkok that morning with another son to arrange for his body to be brought home on Sunday.

More than 100 people paid their final respects to Mr Sivaneswaran at the wake yesterday afternoon.

His family members were too busy with the final rites to be interviewed. Ms Gieghase and her son did not attend the funeral.

One mourner, Mr Ashley Ow, 30, said he was shocked to learn of the tragedy from his friends on Saturday morning.

The former Young Lions player said: "Siva was my best friend. I've known him since 2001 when we were with Sembawang Rangers. He was a very nice guy - jovial and easy-going."

Mr Ow said he had met Ms Gieghase many times and understands that she is still married to Kevin.

"She's a nice lady - very pleasant. I've met Kevin once before but we didn't talk."

Asked if he was aware of Mr Sivaneswaran's purported violence towards Ms Gieghase, he replied: "I've never seen him violent towards anyone. It's totally out of character for him to be violent."

Mr Rajandran said he was told that Kevin had been released on bail of about one million baht (S$39,000).

He said: "I'm unhappy about this and I expect justice to be served. My nephew is dead and he didn't deserve to die this way."

A boy was hurt after he was chased by a wild boar on Sunday afternoon in Punggol.

The incident happened at about 2.15pm near Block 184 in Edgefield Plains.

The boy was taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital in an ambulance, a Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said.

When The New Paper approached the boy's father at his flat yesterday, he declined to comment other than to say the boy is at home and feeling better.

Stomp contributor Ferlyn posted a video of a wild boar in the vicinity of Block 106B in Edgefield Plains on the citizen journalism website yesterday.

She said she was in a lorry at about 3.30pm on Sunday when she came across the animal.

Her husband, who was driving, followed the animal for about two minutes as it raced down the middle of the two-lane road.

It then ran up the pavement and into a housing estate.

It is unclear where the animal went and whether it is the same wild boar that chased the boy.

TNP asked residents in the area if they had seen the wild boar on Sunday afternoon.

While there have been reports of wild boar sightings, none of the residents said they had seen the wild boar.

Officials from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) are conducting control operations in Punggol.

This is in response to reports of wild boar sightings in the area, its spokesman told TNP yesterday.

"Members of the public who encounter wild boars should stay calm and not approach the animal," the spokesman added.

Ex-tour guide Yang Yin pleads guilty to 120 charges

SINGAPORE- The former China tour guide at the centre of a dispute over the assets of a wealthy widow on Tuesday (May 31) pleaded guilty to 120 charges relating to immigration offences and falsification of receipts.

Out of 120 charges, 110 were for the falsification of receipts made to his company. The remaining were for immigration and cheating offences, as well as breaking Company Act laws. The rest of the 227 charges were taken into consideration.

The 42-year-old looked expressionless with his head slightly bowed as the charges were read out to him in Mandarin through an interpreter.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nicholas Tan said that the former tour guide still faces two remaining criminal breach of trust charges which will be heard in separate proceedings. The hearing is scheduled to start in June and July.

This is the second time that Yang has made his public appearance after he was denied bail and under remand since October 2014. Like on Monday, he appeared in court dressed in purple overalls and sporting neatly-trimmed hair, with his hands and legs shackled.

Yang was arrested in September 2014 and charged a month later with a slew of offences, mostly falsifying receipts made to his company, Young Dance and Music Studio, so he could stay in Singapore. Yang also faces charges for cheating as well as breaking Companies Act laws.

His most serious offences, however, are two criminal breach of trust charges over allegedly misappropriating $1.1 million from wealthy widow Chung Khin Chun. These will be heard next month and in July.

The high-profile case was first reported in 2014 when Madam Chung's niece, Madam Hedy Mok commenced a series of legal actions against Yang in the High Court.

Let me add to the SibueyJialat!

Late last year a cheonging buddy came to GZ to look for me with his wife for a week.

Usual procedures happened, pick them up from airport, den put them up at my place, dinner etc etc.

My buddy was an active samster in FL dome 2.

Scenario 1

2nd day 4 of us, me, my wife, his wife and him, went to the various whole-sale market for clothes cos the wife wanna go shopping.

We went to a popular location frequented by many Singaporeans to look for the latest fashion and our wives were busy shopping inside while we took a drag outside.

Suddenly pretty SYT hugged my friend and said “老公！怎么你来广州没告诉我！”

Worse of all we saw his wife standing at the entrance with my wife staring at us.

At that point of time I really dunno how to help. ( I was hoping my friend suddenly develop alzheimer's disease)

Rest of the days were spent visiting the outskirts of Guangzhou, Macau, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Scenario 2

The day before he is due back to Singapore, we were in Shenzhen with a few friends and we had a nice dinner at a restaurant along with a lot of beer. (we were supposed to go back to GZ the next day and next day evening he going back Singapore)

Both our wives commented that they were tired. I looked at my friend’s eyes and he was relaying a signal to me so I said that I and him will be going for a foot massage and return later.

Once we were alone,(our wives went back to the hotel.) he told me he and his wife didn’t bonk since that day and he is itchy. I suggested that we go to those massage parlor and see got 推油or extra or not.

So we went up and talk to the manager and yes there was. He was quite tipsy and managed to bang the chick and finished the deed. (I am retired)

After that we proceeded back to the hotel.

Next morning, I saw my friend looking at me darkly and his wife was fuming! In the train back GZ he told me when he went back hotel last night his wife initiate sex.

Pulled down his pants, saw bits of tissue and got the smell of CD plus 2IC was oily.

Straightaway the wife gave him hell for the whole night.

I think he also discovered that adrenaline is brown.

Come to think of it the way he describe it was funny. but i may have not expressed it funnily enough.
