Yeah. Now isn't a good time for staycations yet. I personally think it's no big deal about all these places where asymptomatic cases went to visit but I don't think employers and families will look kindly on us getting quarantined/potentially affecting them to be quarantined too just from us going to a hotel for a staycation. The paranoia over COVID-19 is just too strong atm.

So I also got the email from Fragrance saying their branches are open for staycations and also transit bookings. But last night I went to Fragrance Ocean View and they said they're only accepting overnight. Anyone else encountered the same problem? I'm gonna email/call them again. That branch is the only transit hotel in the west so it's important to me.

My Filipina maid gf does not want to go to hotel with me due to the requirement for work permit holders to provide their Employer's phone number. Does anyone know any alternatives (except for airbnb) that dont require this, especially for transit stays?

By right floors used for SHN and quarantine purposes are kept separate away from other general occupants. However some might also consider about whether the hotel they want to stay in was entirely booked out by the government for quarantine uses before the current reopening phases. So even if you requested for rooms that were never used by quarantined people, there might not be such rooms available in the first place and hotels will never be honest about the previous occupancy of the rooms during lockdown period, for very clear business reasons.

I personally trust in the deep cleaning processes done for all hotel rooms and facilities, but that is a personal decision of which I can't predict nor can I influence. We all decide the level of risk we want to tolerate in exchange for returning to some semblance of life before where we had a respite from the daily trudge of work life.

Current hotel I am staying now, was used to house a few SHN patients.

I don't know whether my room was once used by SHN patients..
This hotel is SG Clean..

Gym- some machines seal off due to social distancing rule.
(my favourite exercise bike was seal off...)
when your 1 hour time up, staff will inform you.

same as swimming pool.
Note that now more buffet breakfast for now,
I just had in room dinning.

It is more convenient with QR code menu which you can order breakfast item and in house restaurant will send breakfast to your room within 1 hour..
(quite convenient for me as I have hearing issue..)
