To bro senseless, errr... sensous_les, none of us dare to call ourselves "Heavenly Kings", merely blokes posted far away from home, and have to make Hanoi our home. Treat her well, and many bountiful things will happen to you, treat her like your crap pot, then expect to eat shit and shit rice. Bro DT was (and still is) very kind to me when I got here, so I look to help other new bro's in town, pass on the favor so to speak. But you don't be too lan xi and demand help, no one here owes you a living, much less a bonking. Bro Carrot - nhanh nhanh ve Ha Noi di... thi chung ta co the cung di choi, hat bai hat tieng viet, om co gai hap dan, mut ty, so vu; chang com them pho nhe! Bro Posted - you mean the hotstone place we circle round and round to find, and where the recep spoke mandarin to us? Ah... must try! Bro Naemlo & DT - suak lah... this forum will always have senseless people, they want to talk rot, let them talk rot loh, no loss to us cause we still get to enjoy, and senseless people DIY in their own room. |

Re: Hanoi
Hi all,
I do not understand, why all bro here shoot me all over. Because i only have 3 days in Hanoi, and only come here quarterly. So i do not have the luxury to slowly explore all the fun place. That is why i try to seek help from any kind bro over here. I do that in HCM as well (ok, ok, dun compare, different part of VN, i got it). Dunno why I end up being branded as arrogant, 'Lan Xi' and points being deducted. If read carefully, I did not swear any single word, never straight away PM directly to anyone (as mentioned already, some of them do not like it), never anyhow deduct others point, etc. Anyway I am already back in Sin, so no point arguing further. I will try my luck again asking around when I next visit Hanoi, hopefully will have positive info by then. |

Ha Noi will always be a mystical wonderland for me. It was the first time I had ever travelled on a business trip and was a complete and utter newbie. Let me share something with you. That 1st trip I took I was staying at a Pho Hue hotel. I asked the concierge where a nice KTV was and he directed me to a local one. As a total "toot", I went to the brightest most crowded one I could find (Sillyporean tendencies appearing; got crowd sure must be good) and to summarize: 1) Paid USD120 for nuts, fruits, towel, beer, tips for all the GROs...but not the eventual chosen xinh gai! 2) She said she wanted to leave at 11:45pm. I no speak any Tieng Viet then (mine still quite condemned) and so in chicken duck talk style was trying to convince her to go out for a quickie. Didn't realise it was the signal for me to go out with her! 3) Ended up in a Nha Nghi in god-knows-where and had to find a xe om to take me back. Damage for the whole ST was USD50. I paid the xe om driver/rider VND100,000 as I thought it was a long ride. Turns out (I found out later) that it was only a 10 minute ride if he had just ridden the shortest way through. 4) Found out I was totally screwed (cashwise and physically) when I check with FRs on SBF then. Hence I believe that either one has a good "mentor" or speak at least some Tieng Viet to have a more reasonably priced escapade in HN. After everything though, today I look back at it all and laugh. |
