Even Torres took a jibe at Liverpool saying it has been 5 years since he left Liverpool and we are still building the club.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Solid professional performance last night, just what the doctor ordered after Saturday's washout!
Very interesting to see that every goal last night came from a ball in from the wide areas. Hopefully that's a result of Klopp trying to drum something into the players. If they can get that right, it will really help against 'park the bus teams'. Personally, I think the people who made the difference were Can, Mané and Matip. Just hope Can and Origi's injuries are not serious. These two will be really vital for us this season, and we need them injury free. However let's not get OTT because after all this was just Burton Albion. The real tests shall come fast and quick, first up with Spurs at White Hart Lane this weekend. As an aside, it looks like Sakho's fall out with Klopp is very serious and that he may well be on his way out before the transfer window closes next week. Mixed feelings on this because I think Sakho is a beast of a CB when he is in form. The problems arise because of his inconsistency and more importantly his current attitude. |

Ah Gong believes that is also very true . Ever since the transfer committee was formed Liverpool have one disaster after another . At first they get cheap players who they believe can be developed and later sell them for profit. Than they go buy players which don't fit into the managers' style of play . Worse still they couldn't get the player that the manager wants. It really sucks. I can see that Klopp have at least more say in the transfer business this time around . At least better than the previous manager .

Ah Gong really delighted with the result today . If only they can play like this the same week in and week out . This Mane really looks good . He provides something that Liverpool was lacking last season . They must be crazy in wanting to loan out Sakho . He should stay and or a new player comes in to replace him . What they should really do is to get a left back and a defensive midefielder . The headless chicken finally score . This time around see him working hard for the team .

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
For now it seems that Mane is our most influential player. He had a good game, showed class and delivered some impressive crosses into the box.
I have to be honest as it has been a while since Liverpool had a player who produces good crosses into the box. Now we just need a good finisher as Firmino looks slightly off. I wonder how is Klopp going to plan Sturridge, Coutinho, Mane and Firmino is the line up. Can provides that much needed quality in the midfield and hope his injury is not serious. However the trip to Spurs is a different game. Lets see what Liverpool is capable of. |

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hopes Emre Can ankle injury is not serious
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hopes an ankle injury sustained by Emre Can in the EFL Cup against Burton on Tuesday does not turn out be serious. Can, who started as one of four changes to the Reds side that lost at Burnley on Sunday, had to be taken off after 71 minutes of Liverpool's 5-0 thrashing of Burton in the EFL Cup second round.

"Loic Remy's Chelsea career appears over after Crystal Palace reportedly agreed a deal to sign the striker."
Very lucky Liverpool didn't sign him last season under BR. "Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho has been cleared of being a drugs cheat after the World Anti-Doping Agency chose not to appeal the UEFA verdict." "Jürgen Klopp is believed to be willing to loan Mamadou Sakho out before the end of the transfer window after a chequered few months for the French centre-back."

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Burton Albion was more like a non- league team, it was like S. Korea vs Singapore last night.. So let's not get too carried away with the result. Next 2 matches for Pool will be the real test. Minimum 4 pts for next 2 games will be good.
Wijnaldum is a flop from my observation so far. Though i am not an expert, one can see whether a player will be able to make an impact, just like Mane who makes a real difference. Wijnaldum looked so ordinary n Pool paid £20m+ for him. Disgusted! |
