Well, sad to report that I didn't try either 1 or 69... I ended up with 819... a group of us brothers went down to TRY last night and all left it up to fate to who we ended up with. Sadly enough, only one of us did enjoy the night... Hahaha.... But then again, it was the company that was good, and I remember many a hearty laughs last night.

Sure thing, my place is open to you guys, just let me know when. My place is cold and lack human warmth to warm it up.. Like one of the bros said, 我家缺少人气.

Bro PTR, would propose dinner cum drinks (non-alcoholic, e.g. tea or coffee). As for venue, would depend if u guys have preference for what sort of food. For Cantonese or Chinese food, would recommend 沙田轩near 襄阳市场, for Japanese food, can try the one at Yaohan Pudong, not sure the name (a-la carte buffet RMB150) or the cheaper one at 襄阳南路，旭日屋　(RMB98, also a-la-carte buffet). As for tea places, would rather u decide, as u are likely to know more places.

Haha... No, it was pretty much like a blind date... As the place was pretty busy last night, we didn't get 5 rooms all at once... It was like we were awaiting our last supper on death row. Everyone was offering the next vacancy to another person... Hahaha....

Well, many thanks to those bros that have made their contribution here, I have got a lot of info and know where to bring my customers to.
The last time we met at the Meiliyuan hotel, was the only time I met up with all the bros. So did not really get to know most bros well. Since then, I happened to meet up with Bro PTR at Suzhou, together with Bro Van Basten, Lukim and just4fun. I am not a KTV lover, most of the time, I enjoyed myself more with the singing session there....hehe.
You are not tiny sprout lah, after being to so many place in China, you certainly not a loada can also be a dage. Me only know about Shanghai a little bit more...........like a ............taxi driver [know most of the locations but don know what is inside]

I am sure that no one here is to offend others. Sometimes, the wrong choice of words, or tones will entrain misunderstanding. Both Bro Shanghaitan and Bro Shengge are two respectable brothers, and in my humble observation, may have different views of life. This will no doubt bring about misunderstanding. I hope both sides will remain in good spirit of brotherhood amongst our country men in a distant land, and stay together as one cohesive whole.

It is very difficult to earn trust and confidence from others to form friendship, but it is extremely easy to break the link. I am not advocating that both the brothers are quarreling, but merely, due to some disaccord, are expressing different opinion using, maybe sometimes, stronger words.

Brothers, I enjoy every bit of my stay in Shanghai, and especially so when I find myself amongst all of you. I treasure the friendship and the companionship and sincerely hope that you would share my sentiments.

Indeed everyone is entitled to have different views of life but in a foreign place, such differences should be tolerated, if not respected. Words, which is usually the root cause for misunderstandings, should not be used thoughtlessly. As the saying goes, 病从口入，祸从口出. One should always 三思而后行. I am not a supporter or an advocate of 内战 as I feel that being in China is already tough enough. Together we stand!

As it is, being in China without friends is an unthinkable prospect.. to the point of being scary. The brotherhood that we have here should be treasured and not taken lightly... and I dare say that I am really honored to have brothers like yourself, SGP, Junior_C, Whambam, Shengge, Mav, Ultraman amongst others (to those that I missed out, fret not as it is because I have forgotten your nicks ... paiseh... )

I feel that the purpose of this forum is not only to provide others with avenues and venues for "release" and "entertainment" but like you have always said, it is also for those who have gone through the good and the bad to make it known to others so as to avoid making the same "mistakes" or falling into the same "traps". Our Shanghai thread is approaching 200 pages.. by this time, I am sure many brothers have gone though their fair shares of ups and dones... Sharing is Caring.. hahahahaha..

Really missed the fun we all had during our first major gathering.. could not really enjoy the second outing due to medical reasons... sigh....

I always enjoy reading your fine writing with carefully crafted sentences with correct words. Yes, we are all entitled to our opinions, something that I will stand by it always. Being overseas is tough enough, and to witness cracks being formed amongst us is something that we should work hard to avoid. Bro Shengge is a nice and easy going man, I went out with him many times, we were in Shanghai, we were in Suzhou, etc. He is quite a fun person to be with. I do not think he meant bad. I used to have this habit of getting loose with my words when I knew someone too well or at least when I assumed so. I ended up in many understandings. I see myself of yesterday in Bro Shengge of today. We shall all remain friends. I treasure friendship and will defend it to the best of my ability. This is precisely the reason for which I am writing such a long post.

I enjoy every bit of my time with you all, Shanghai brothers, and will have the opportunity to be with you once my company in Shanghai is in operation (expected April/May 2005). I will not stay in Shanghai as I have many other operations to look after in great China and Euroland. Nevertheless, I shall be in Shanghai more often then my favourite place - Chengdu.....(yami..yami...). If I do not see you this time, I shall definitely meet you next time round. Let's the taxi driver tell you the location, it is located along the Dong Zhu An Ban Road, near to the Zhen Ning Road. A single storey tile building, pink in colour. Chinese name is 同仁 right on top of the main entrance.
If you fancy nice Catonese food, the Tang Gong （唐宫）Seafood Restaurant is just within few minutes walking distance, diagonally opposite of TRY.
