I disagree with Bro Lone Wolf here. I don't know the owners but have made friends with the hotel staff. To me it is a genuinely decent hotel and I have been staying there the last few times I visited - ask Ziebart, Datou and some of the other brothers. So I am putting my money where my mouth is.

It is clean, the staff are easy going, security is good (the call to confirm that I know the girl is leaving), the rooms are still new, and a like for like comparison with a similar hotel like Grand Central (which has the benefit of being smack in the middle of Fields avenue) is much cheaper. To me, Devera is where Fields avenue meets Perimeter road, and immediately opposite SM Mall, so location is good.

Downside is there is no pool, and no breakfast (but this may change once the restaurant on the roof is completed). and currently, there is some work being completed on the roof, but to me hardly noticable (the last time I was there last week, I didn't hear any jackhammers, but late in the morning around noon there was faint sound of drilling)

Maybe if you take the bog standard cheapest room, I agree it is similar to Hotel81 (but without the plastic undersheet used in Hotel81), but for the other rooms I don't think it is that bad. The Standard rooms only has queen sized beds, but all the others have King sized beds, capable of comfortably sleeping 3 (hehehe.. from my experience - but I don't like fat girls so maybe I find it more than enough to have a King sized bed). I don't think they are advertising it as 5 stars are they?

Yes, the management increased the prices from 16 June.. But the rooms are evenly priced or cheaper than the other hotel, IMO. And for full disclosure - since I've been staying there since the beginning of the year when they first opened, I will still be getting the discounted rate till the next time I am there. But after that, unless I get to meet the owners and get the same deal as Bro Lone Wolf, I will be paying the same rates as everyone else (I will try to get that discounted!)

Some of the other brothers who know me have seen the rooms and even stayed there. It is my own personal view, but I think for the price, safety, location, cleanliness and really nice and friendly staff. I have yet to find a better hotel - Else I wouldn't stay there so frequently (every month since February).

Caveat is there are cheaper hotels, but I either prefer Devera for its cleanliness, convenience, etc at the correct price point for me. but to each its own.

Bro Lone Wolf, please provide better accommodation in similar price range and located near enough to Fields Ave. I may consider changing hotels. May I ask where you stay when you are in AC Bro Lone Wolf?

I happen to know the Fil-Am couple that owns the hotel and I had been approached to recommend their hotel to my countrymen. For every guest that stays there thru my recommendation, I get a 20% cut of the room rate.

100% agree... you are like me la... also USED to get my regular girlS from PonyTails and stay at Devera.
