I dont know the name of station but assume I choose the express train (the fastest) because the last day in kaohsiung should directly go to tao yuan airport in taipei. if only need 2 - 3 hours that enough for me, if more should be dangerous trip.

HSR - High Speed Rail (Bullet Train)
Taipei Rail - Normal Train - ZhiQiang (express) is the faster.

HSR takes 2hrs....Taiwan Rail takes > 5hrs...

When u r travelling, time is precious. Unless u want enjoy the scenery during the journey. U can reach for HSR straight from the airport. Very easy n relaxing..

thanks for the info, so HSR start only from airport or any hub station in the city which I can take it. sorry for busy questions like this. Yes time is precious since I only have 4 days in taiwan, so I divide into taipei 2 days and kaohsiung 2 days. wish enough for me to explore the beauty of taiwan girls

another reminder, "express train" (HSR) Taoyuan station is not at Taoyuan airport like Singapore MRT, u need to take a coach / bus from HSR station to the airport, so got to allow for this travelling time when planing your Kaohsiung trip.
