Saw a guy selling it alongside mangoes.

The concotion was made of vinegar, chilli padi, black pepper, salt, preserved veg.

I devoured two cucumbers in 10 min flat.

Ordered the St Louis BBQ ribs hihgly recommended by taxi 69.

Despite the steady moderate to heavy drizzle had a great day.

Barhopped quite a bit.

Lucky to find girls with great GFE both today n yday.

But for one the rest were great.

My holiday ending.

For those who have not yet observed the peanut vendors:

they bring chilli sauce or plain chillipadi and garlic as well as toppings.

The pinay girls like chilli these days.

So the vendors have made appropriate changes

Another thing specially about the peanut vendors at Fields

keen to rake in the buck faster they now straight away offer peanuts in slightly bigger portions for p50/serving.

They do this by default hoping to fleece unaware tourists.

So those who are used to 50p/three servings will end up having tp pay 150p.

So please request specifically for the serving size u want.

Not that all locals never tip, just maybe less than 5-10% at best. There are some generous locals also.

When I give 10p tip at places in Perimeter or Santos, never got a second glance from any waitress as they know its the standard. If I gave zero tips then I may get a black face but I often look right back with the "u gave terrible service" look.

Giving 10p at a higher end bar in Fields may result in comments so thats why I start at 20p (which should be the standard there at the nicer bigger bars on Fields) but I will also give zero tip if service sucked and don't care if she gave black face or not as its my way of expressing my opinion about her service without having to say it.

Man, don't let a few rain drops stop the fun of bar hopping or nite out. Afterall its rainy season in the Philippines. I was still having a blast last year being in KNEE HIGH water for several days during Thyphoon Megi. I was wet all the time but lucky to have a nice understanding pinoy to suck dry me up so don't catch a cold

But agree, stick to bottle beers as much as possible as you don't know how long the hard liq bottles been open and sitting around or if it was tampered with =(waterdown or other cheap brands switch to the brand bottle)

Just for the record, I normally tip 10p also but usually if I was in perimeter or Santos, but will increase to 20p if I stay in bar longer, had ordered 2-3 beers and waitress was nice. Now if waitress was too pushy (the type that bothers you for LD all the time, must choose girl already--you know the type) then my tips start going down to zero.
The higher end bars on Fields, I usually give 20p (even with only 1 beer) if the waitress was nice, but again will give less (or zero) if pushy and bitchy.

And also just for the record, I had never tip a waitress over 20p.
Note: Locals almost never tip.

Must 2nd the motion, good post. Couldn't have done it better myself.
Too bad there is no thread where we can forward good and/ informative post that everyone can benefit from as something like this should be a must read for everyone coming to AC. These are the post that can set the standard for all to follow ( and not spoil the market or get fleeced).


Just a note that the Koreans have a totally different tipping scale and therefore spoiling the market. They usually set the low tip at 20p-50p and can go up to over 500p, just the tip to the waitress for bringing them the beers and sometimes sitting with them.

The department of Justice has already filed the case in court which makes his situation a bit more difficult. This is a non-bailable offense.
