Unbelievable performance!!!!

A game of two halves. First we were unstoppable. Second we defended like kings. 

Lady Luck on our side as well because Salah was probably a wee bit offside for our 1st goal and Robertson looks to have brought down Sterling, so we also got off with a penalty call.

Anyway, City had 11 shots, ZERO on target. That's absolutely incredible!! Think leaving Sterling out at the start was a huge call.

Just Easter but 'Jesus' apparently did not rise City are a different team with Aguero, say what you want Pep but Jesus is not Aguero(and we need to be wary of Kun in the 2nd leg as i am sure he will play if fit).


Looks like Klopp has finally learnt his lesson when it comes to leaving our fullbacks and defenders isolated. Defending in numbers is key. That played a huge part last night. Also the fact that Lovren turned up when it mattered(his interception on Silva in the 2nd half was sauce!) and TAA put on a coming-of-age performance Fun fact about TAA. Seems that his Scottish grandmother was Alex Ferguson's first girlfriend back in his early Glasgow days(according to Fergie's autobiography)!


The Ox appears to save his best performances for when City are in town, what a fabulous strike!! And Milner was our warrior general! Oh and our Egyptian Pharoah ran Laporte ragged! Actually if Salah stayed on to complete the 2nd half, i reckon he would have got another and that may have been just about enough to see out this tie.

Fingers crossed Salah's groin injury is a minor one! Also bad luck Henderson is out for the 2nd leg(suspended due to yellow cards), hope Can shall be fit to replace him.


As much as I’d like to think the tie is over, it’s not. City at home can bang them in for fun. However you always fancy us to score so if we can even get one away goal on Tuesday, I reckon we should go through.

Heng Ah Gong never stayed up to watch the game. Heard it was an exciting game . End to end action. City was stunned . They don't know what hit them . This time Ah Gong was also happy that the team defended very well . Ah Gong hope that Salah's injury is not too serious . Now Liverpool beat City twice in a season .

I think after this weekend's merseyside derby Klopp will have problem fielding a fully fit team for the 2nd leg at Etihad.

If your visit to Wong Tai Sin temple in HK where the fortune teller prediction is going to be true then Liverpool will cruise to the semi-f and Sevilla need to produced a comeback away to Bayern.

Credit when it is due, to Ah Klopp and every single player from starting 11 plus 3 subs. MOTM TAA is the weak link, what weak link? Need to cut him some slack as he is in his 1st full season, still inexperienced at times when more experience defenders and ousted goalie let the team down sometimes this season.
Better don't start counting chickens just yet, need to be mindful of the 5-0 loss in Etihad earlier in the season with kung fu fighter Mane sent off. Like they said about the game, anything and everything can change in a few minutes.
Credit to the 12 man too, the Anfield faithfuls, both inside for the noise of jeers/boos and support and outside of Anfield for the welcome party. I am sure the welcome would be reciprocate next week in Manchester.

It was part of Klopp's strategy as they have to conserve energy for the next game . First time I see Liverpool parked the bus and frustrate City players . A well professional display of football . Please do not get carried away as there is 1 more game to go . Now we only hope that the team stys injury free . The bench doesn't look promising . On a side note I am never in favour of fans attacking the opposition team bus . This is not the Liverpool way .

The team bombed City in the opening 45 minutes and was hot. The players did really well and showed when Klopp's idea of teamwork comes together the job is easier.
