Re: Vientiane,Laos
Headed to Vientiane for the first time to start the process of my work permit in Thailand (I guess I should rename myself to ABCinTH?) and with 2 days and 1 night to kill, here is my FR:
The trip to Vientiane started in Bangkok, Survanabhumi airport in the morning. Sleepy from waking up early in the morning, I shambled through immigration with 2 of my friends towards the departure hall. We found out we were going to sit in one of those old (but sturdy) propeller-powered planes, which was a first for me. The flight was smooth though, so no complaints there. Upon touching down, we were introduced to our taxi driver before being whisked to the Thai embassy to start the process. Things went fairly smoothly, and we were done by lunch time. First observation? Man, this place reminds me a lot of Batam! We had lunch, found out fish cost way more and beef way less, and we were then sent to our guesthouse where we will be staying for the duration of our short trip. Located on a road that leads to the fountain, it is a small street lined with guesthouses and massage parlors. It's a quaint road with a relaxed and hippie atmosphere, not for me, a city guy, but it's the closest to a city in Vientiane, as I soon found out. Our rooms were going for around 20 USD a night, and for that, we got a room that is around the quality of Hotel 81, just at 20% of the price. We went for a quick (and clean) massage, which was pretty standard, before retiring to our room for the afternoon. We woke up at 6pm, feeling refreshed, and headed to the Kong View restaurant which is situated along the Mekong river with an amazing view of the 'Kong (Get it? Eh? Not sorry for that pun). The food was good and very reasonable (7 dishes for 4 at 1,800 THB) and it had an amazing atmosphere with it's open air seating, live band, and that really hot waitress I couldn't get my eyes off. After the feast, we asked our Taxi driver that we hired for the course of our stay about girls, and he took us to Merci KTV. But being full, we then proceeded to another nearby, which was in a hotel (and I couldn't remember the name). Along the way I asked the driver if there was any risk with taking a girl back, and he said with full conviction that there will be no problems. I guess perhaps, recently, the police have been relaxing on the law where foreigners are not allowed to share a same room with a local, don't talk about copulating, as it probably is a big part of their revenue. So we entered the KTV, chose a package which had 2 large bottles of Black Label and mixers, and were escorted by a rather handsome waiter. While waiting for our drinks to be brought to us, suddenly, a long line of girls in red streamed into the room, with the mama-san following shortly after, asking us to choose. Before I continue, I have to mention that for a rather dingy looking KTV (It didn't look anywhere near like Merci, at least from the outside), the rooms are huge! I actually asked the waiter for a smaller room, and he said it is already the smallest! It came equipped with a large LCD TV with the standard hi-fi mixer and karaoke equipment put together with bundles of cable. Contransting the big but rather dingy looking room, the karaoke system included a touchscreen mini-stand/podium as well as a huge remote control that looks like one of those label printers. We chose a girl each, and the rest shuffled out, leaving us with the girls, 2 big bottles of alcohol, and no one that could sing. Yes, the 3 of us couldn't sing, and the girls, well, we got them talking and playing drinking games so none of them sang as well. My girl was the shy type, and just started working at that KTV for less then a month. Just my luck, I keep getting these type of girls, and I will get them even if I closed my eyes, turned around and threw a ping pong ball against a wall and chose the girl it hits! Throughout the course of the KTV session, we would talk a little, to find out more of each other, joke, started to touch her a little on her back and hands, and soon we were holding hands. I showed her a little of my gentlemanly side, when it came to the drinking, and it was set for the rest of the night. On hindsight, I could have gotten her for "free", but I chose to ask her for her price, as none of us knew what was the average price, other then the vague 50 - 100 USD listed by many. We settled on 3,000 THB, and went back to the guesthouse. The total bill for the night? 280+ USD and a 500 baht tip to the mamasan. Before we left, she bumped into an old customer of hers, who was also an ex of hers. Things didn't go so well, so in the room, I decided to talk to her about it. I really didn't feel like doing anything, being loaded up with alcohol, but it was obvious she wanted me to be her boyfriend. I honestly told her it probably wouldn't work out, considering that I have no idea when would be the next time I would visit Laos. One thing lead to another, and we ended up making love, her full of passion, me full of alcohol I'm trying to keep down. We woke up, did it again, this time me full of stuff I don't want to describe I'm trying to keep down, and we went down to head to the embassy to collect our passports. My friend's girls left, but mine stayed, and we went back to the room, I talked to her a while more before drifting into a hangover-induced sleep, and she woke me up halfway to let me know she wants to head home. Saying good bye, she left. It was a somewhat bittersweet moment for me. She seemed like a great girl, but I felt that it would never work out. I never got her contact, and steered clear away from even getting near to the topic, though she did try to hint at it. Thank you traditions of a girl not asking for a guy for his contact! After, we headed to eat some local food at some random restaurant, before heading back to familiar Bangkok, nothing much else to mention. It was a, all in all, great experience I had in a new land, so close to Thailand, yet so different, and the same goes for the girls. In Bangkokyou have girls that are daring and adventurous, but in Vientiane and Laos in general, I believe that is a rarity, even for the girls who work in the night life. Hope you guys enjoyed my FR, I have to admit I didn't read this thread before I went, even when I Googled about Vientiane and the night life. Sometimes, it's the exploration that is the most fun bit of a new place! |

About some 4-5 star hotels scene
Hello everyone,
I have never been Laos, but in Vietnam several times. In some famous 4 or 5 hotels in Vietnam like Fortuna in Hanoi or Crown Plaza in the nang could found stunning girls in their KTV and also could have their rooms with the girls. (Avoid law issues for high level hotels). I found there is a hotel named Muong Thanh Luxury Vientiane which is a 5 star Vietnamese hotel and another is Grand Szechuan Hotel which owned by Chinese both with Karaoke facilities. So wondered may these two hotel you could find girls to play and come with them to their luxury rooms. Expected both will be pricey(If anyone have some exact price info will be appreciated) but I believe there will be more chance to find stunners. So must be choosy and have some luck. If anyone have been these places and how is the quality? Now in Vietnam the price have been ruined, everything expensive, no quality. |

Re: Vientiane,Laos
10 tips on Vientiane,Laos 2017
1/ Cost wise not cheap at all. My opinion everything is overpriced from food to girls. Beer Lao is the only good thing I would say... 2/ Cheonging scene very basic dont have high hopes. You will find many LB on the streets. Street girls can talk to and chat up. I made 2 friends that way because I liked them in their traditional outfit but they are very shy and look uncomfortable in the open talking to foreigners. Working girls can be found in any pick up bar. Got into a argument with a middle aged angmo woman because she wanted to be served first at a cafe while she was browsing her food...apparently she was just exercising her white privilege in Asia lol but she was shocked I questioned it in Laos of all places. From accent seems like she a Aussie. 3/ Lao girls are pretty and friendly some can speak English. Also lot of ladyboys everywhere. Pick up joints every one knows nothing has changed much. 4/ most massage places I tried were shit skills wise! Champa place was decent. 5/ Infrastructure is also mostly stuck in the 80's- basic amenities are not done right like running hot water or soaps. Stayed in 2 separate hotels both had issue with hot/cold water mixers. Didn't stay in 5 star lux. Massage places don't have decent usable soap for washing etc. cleanliness is not upto any international standards! 6/ Tried 2 farms, massage parlors, freelance and ST hiso girl from at home club. Fucking wise most girls are not very experienced so it's different almost like your high school fuck. Quality wise some diamonds in the rough. Costs wise girls want SG rates mostly ...can nego but not much. Lots of carrots willing to throw money around. 7/ Tried VIET girls in massage place they were fun fuck. But overpriced as usual here. 8/ Fantastic business opportunities in Laos it is just starting out in almost everything so long term investment in businesses is something to follow up there. 9/ Lot of washed up angmos here ...most look like they on the run from somewhere for something. They stay long term and invest time here and build relationships with local girls. Local girls are impressed easily and like farang they think they love them long time and will help make a better life for them maybe take them back to farang country for milk and honey! Saw some walking around with really young ones hand in hand no one seems to be bothered. Asian looking men are considered assholes and stingy with money by most working girls I talked to ...reminding me of Vietnam/ Thailand in the 70's till now!! Also met a weird Thai dude in a bar passing off as French. 10/ For me value for money is still Bangkok and Batam or even KL compared to Laos. Think of the airfare and stay, food costs is it worth it to come Cheong here this far now well not for me. But for a first visit and sightseeing and experience it's ok. |
