Re: Malaysian Ringgit rate update
S$100 : RM300. I reckon this exchange rate can be achieved by December 2014 and will stay at this rate for a long time. Any comments? I try not to keep so much RM, convert them to S$ and bank them in banks in Singapore.

I take the other approach... Change what I need, average out the rate.

Re: Malaysian Ringgit rate update
The internet rate has been holding steady around 2.57 to 2.58 over the last couple of weeks after Hari Raya. Sometimes it would hit up to 2.58+ and usually within a few hours it will fluctuate down to 2.57 again. This has been quite a constant pattern.
Of course during the period leading up to the Hari Raya Holidays, the money changers were all giving extremely poor rates like 2.47 - 2.49. After the holiday period, then we start to see the rates being offered going up on a day by day basis. From 2.5 to 2.51 and then to 2.54 (which was the standard rate over the next few days). Last night, the internet rate suddenly shoot up to 2.59+! Almost touch 2.6! I expected it to drop back into the 2.58 or even the 2.57 territory today but at the moment, its still at 2.594. So I guess that's why some money changers are now giving 2.555. If this current internet rate holds, I think it may be possible to get 2.56 to 2.57 by the weekend. That's just based on the observing the trend between the internet and real market rates.

From internet rate, we reduce some for the money changers to make. Interbank rates does not apply to HCM black mkt rate which is usually higher.

Re: Malaysian Ringgit rate update
That's the target level where Najib wants the ringgit to be...... but whether achievable or not oso need to see whether Bank Negara have the financial muscle to support this level?
