Since your first visit, I am not going to re-hash, but, beware, beware, beware..
if something sound too true to be true, beware .. like trike fellow offering young girls, or offering 'gang bang girls' and the like
Stick to known places, and stay off the rarely trodden path ..
A nice chat in a new bar, where there are nobody but locals, can turn from a nice place to a hellish place .. and a wrongly rubbed filipino/filipina can fuck the law and be happy to see you dead.
And I can swear, 90% of the victims are too ashamed to even share their experience ..
Scam, setups, and all invariably leading to fucking your holiday and I know enough guys who got wiped off on the first day that they quitely cut short their holiday and flew back, minus handphone, laptop, no money ..
And don't be stingy to take a trike, especially if your hotel is 10 minutes or so away .. there are enough road-side pick pockets .. and enough kids who can distract you to pick you clean .. especially when old timers say "take a trike" .. we all are on budget, but we keep some sanity to save our asses ..
Now all that should never discourage you ..
So the great pessimist says:
Have fun, be safe, and listen to the old timers .. if the old timers don't do it .. you should not be smart to try it ..

I must fall into the 10% group as I can't seem to keep my mistakes to myself (shameless). I always try to relay all things good and bad so others could benefit from the good and avoid what I did wrong and ruin their experiences in AC.

In my experience, few appreciate your sharing your fuck ups .. most are 'out to have a good time' and frown on kill-joys, but you see them a month or so later, they lamely admit they exactly did what I told them to avoid .. like the guy who took a trike to see 'young girls' and halfway - despite the trike fellow swearing he was not part of the scam - a police post stopped my friend and accused him of being a peodophile, and robbed him clean of everything he had, minus his Wallet with only the IC .. and the cops took him back to the hotel, and our friend, thinking it is a bigger shame to be called victim of the scam, allowed a 'cop' to accompany him to his room, till the cop ensured the 'penalty' of 30,000 peso was fully paid up, and the watch, phone, etc were cost for not filing charge ..
My adventerous friend called me, and knowing that I have a friend running a travel agency in AC, asked me if I can arrange an immediate ticket, to be paid later .. only when he reached home he admitted his being cleaned up .. and he had no money or any way to even get a return ticket to get the hell out of dodge city - there went his planned 2 week stay ..
Mistakes ok, but don't repeat them ..

getting hooked on to a bar girl, knowing she is gonna take you for a ride, is a crime we commit willingly .. sort of like the black widow spider - as long as you get to make love, yeah, we gonna risk it .. and then after a narrow escape, swear never to do it, and a couple of San Miguels remind you that your duty is to pursue your love ..
