itz a way of showing support. personally, i dun bet when Liverpool is playing except when they reached the Semi-Final of any cup's competition.... coz' i tua sai, whenever i bet on Liverpool, it will end up on the losing end....

Season Opener ... Villa v Liverpool
Rather unnecessarily hard-fought but well-deserved win ... let's hope this game take some pressure off the lads, in anticipation of steadier games against Toulouse & then Chelsea.
Otherwise, I like what I saw in terms of what Torres & Babel can do ... can't understand why Pennant decided not to concentrate on making the most of his chance to start on the right-wing.

Its afterall a winning start to the season!
Hard fought yes.. We could win it more comfotably... Wont blame Caraggher cause the handball was just bad luck... But what a TOP TOP goal from Stevie G.. Really give me the feeling of: Dont worry, we got Stevie!

Good points: I was really ecstatic when I saw the crisp passing and movement in the first half, culminating in Finnan's burst forward leading to the own goal. Arbeloa covered really well against a very pacy customer, Finnan not so well. Stevie should have had a hat trick. Torres full of running, he looks like he could run forever. I haven't seen us play with pace and passing in away games for a long time. Bad points: Rafa still needs to get the balance right. We were under pressure for long periods in the second half and Finnan for a while was getting overrun. Fortunately, Gareth Barry didn't get too many crosses in. The other thing, of course, we didn't score the second goal to kill off the game. Having said that, first game over, I'm really excited about the season.

something to take out of the win...
1. havent seen liverpool play an aggressive attacking formation away from home for a long time. 2. away from home but still not hesitating to shoot on sight. on target or not, they managed to pepper the villa goal shot after shot. again, dont often see that whenever pool r playing away from home. 3. the new boys looked really good, despite not finding the net. 4. the team struggled to find the killer punch but still prevailed away from home. 5. was pool lucky? i certainly hope so, and pray that it is EPL champions luck...
