Re: Tg Balai
Hey bros,
Long time no see! Actually, not so long leh... Been going to Balai with my buddies for the past few months. Once per month actually. Best way to avoid random drivers or motorcyclists who hog you non-stop after you exit the arrival hall, is to confirm which hotel you want to stay and get the hotel driver to pick you up. Source for the hotel contacts. Exchange rate over there is 1SGD to 9600+IDR as of end December. So I strongly suggest that you change your money over there. However, I don't think the shops have 100K denomination notes, mostly all in 50K denominations. So if you don't carry a waist pouch but your wallet only, the fucking thick stack of notes will create extra burden on you. Don't ever travel to Balai when your passport is gonna expire in less than 6 months. My buddy had to pay the corrupted immigration officer 50SGD to release his passport. First time I ever encountered this situation. Worse than your return ferry ticket got held back. So please do your own part by ensuring that your passport expiry is more than 7 months away, and always separate the ferry tickets from your passport before you chop at immigration. Travel without any worries. Now most of the Villa girls priced at 1M will be discounted to 900K straight by their OKTs. You want to argue with them, you can try your luck. But with the current high exchange rate, I usually just pay 900K on the spot. 900K and below girls, you can get up to 100K discount depending on your bargaining skills. For myself, I won't book 2 different girls over 2 days anymore. Tried it last November. Really had no stamina to enjoy the second girl. Don't know why, but it will be the first and last attempt. I will only book 1 girl per 3D2N (usually 2nd day), or 2D1N trip. I'm lazy to write FRs, but you can read up all my previous posts regarding this thread. Trust your instinct before you book your girl, she will either make or break your trip. The last trip I went during the Christmas weekend, the girl I booked really made me happy and satisfied. I still miss her though. I will never forget the taste of half boiled kampung chicken eggs over at Balai. Even my buddy who usually eats at local coffeshops, has stopped for good after trying the kampung eggs. Nothing in Singapore beats that. I will be planning another trip soon, but only with my buddies. Smaller the group, better to manage, more secrets to share. After that, I can plan trips with any first timer bros or lao jiaos who are keen to join me. |

Driving to Tg. Balai in Karimum Island, Indonesia
In the future no need to take ferry to Tg Balai ..... just drive there via Pontian(Johor)/Kukup
Read the following news report .......... Indonesia and Malaysia explore Johor-Riau undersea tunnel INDONESIA and Malaysia are mulling an undersea tunnel to connect Riau in Sumatra to Pontian in Johor, reported Malaysian news site The Star Online. Feasibility studies on the proposed 17.5 km link are currently being carried out by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Pelalawan Regency of Riau. The multibillion ringgit project, called the Johor-Riau Link, would connect Karimum Island in Riau to Kukup in Pontian. UTM Construction Research Alliance dean, Professor Muhd Zaimi Abd Majid, told reporters on Monday: "The link between Riau Province and Johor will further accelerate growth in the province under the Indonesian central government's Sumatra Corridor Development Region." ----- KatoeyNewsNetwork |

Re: Tg Balai
That's why I don't understand why Malaysian hate their leader so much for what? Maybe they need to be a sinkie, then, they know they are in HELL, so that they can appreciate Najib! Too bad Malaysia in order to protect their own citizen, don't allow me to convert my pink IC to blue one... very SAD!!!
Indon lagi better, each yr less than 10 foreigners can become their citizen, and only their President can approve it. Sinkapore..... don't know true or not, some rich FT tell me ICA staff goes to their house and give them citizenship application Form with immediate approval. Some like Credit Card company. And it also sound like our country has been sold to the rich FT. I think UMNO is an angel compare to PAP cos it give a lot of "Real" subsidy to their poor esp on necessary item for living, eg petrol, sugar, medicine tablet, milk power, hospital bill, public housing cost and many more...... Over here, everyone know our so call subsidy bill is print on a large A4 size invoice with no "Real" subsidy inside. "You die your own business, go die far far away..." PAP will only take care of their own interest, that of super rich and FT! |

Re: Tg Balai
Thinking of visiting Balai after hiatus of 8 years. Last time I went in 2006, there were at least 8-10 girls per house. Is it the same now? Or should I go to Batam instead?

Most Asian currencies going down. With the exception of S$.
Want to bargain, then go on weekdays. But not much to bargain though. |
