I've been in contact with Tr|pp|ng and he has, as always, been more than helpful.

I'm thinking of an overnite visit to Guangzhou and/or Shenzhen on my way back from Dongguan. Since I come from so far, I think I should at least pop in and have a look around. BTW, I'm flying out from Auckland, New Zealand.

To change money in HK is safer than in China - due to counterfeits and there are no legal money changers that I know of except for the banks and hotels (and their rates are real bad)

The best place for best rates in HK is Chungking Mansion - otherwise, if you don't really care much - then basically any money changer will do it for you.

Theres no typing mistake. Chungking Mansion is like Singapore's Penisular or Little India - Very run-down place but has heaps of Money Changers there and its famous for commission-free high rates. Its located (Nathan Rd - Kowloon). You can easily find your way arnd there.

In CP, Xiong Shi, a 3-star hotel, is right at the middle of all the actions. Many brothers have stayed in this hotel without complaint. It's cheap, very convenient for dinning, shopping and "shooting". However, if you want a higher quality hotel, New Century (Xing Shi Ji), a 4-star hotel is recommended as the hotel housed the newest KTV in CP. Both hotels have HC and KTV.

In HJ, 3-star Hotel like Shanhu should be good enough. Bro Trlpplng has recently posted that the hotel's HC has gotten new stock and it seems that the standard is rather high. You may want to check it out. However, if you want more comfort, then you may want to try Sheraton Hotel, which is at the centre of HJ.

Yes, now that you mentioned the location and I will be staying nearby Nathan Road, I might get my money changed there. I suspect most of them there are indians?

After being missing from GZ for nearly a year, I dropped by for a visit and some friends brought me to this KTV which I notice wasn't reviewed yet. So here's a review:

Place: Royal Wharf Club ("huangma" as in chinese name for Real Madrid)
Address: Yingbin lu along dashi (big stone) section
Tel: 020-61906888

The place is standalone building about 3-4 storeys high and quite new. According to the manager it just opened some time in mid august this year, so the facilities are brand new and very modern. All the mamasans and managers are supposed to be recruited from various ktvs in guangdong and they claim about 100+ girls (quite little but then they only opened a few weeks ago....).

Quick review:
Pricing:
around 500 minimum charge for small room (can fit 4 guys and crew).
girls should be 2-5-8. didn't check but i gave my girl 800 for o/n and no complaints.

Pros:
Good hardware, very comfortable.

Cons:
New, so everyone not familiar with everything. Quite messy in terms of organization.
Major con. OMG no good looking girls. Went through more than 50 girls before finally settling on a slightly above average looking sichuan girl that provided so-so service.

Recommendation:
Not recommended. Unless they bucked up in the past few days, its not worth it going there.

Da Shi is in Panyu (unless theres another Dashi District in Guangzhou).
In Da Shi theres only 1 decent KTV - Hao Men - Highly rated by the locals.

But hope your girl's service was good.

Day I

Reach Changping Station with bro guessme and headed straight for Hotel. Met alvin and frankie at the lounge and sat down to chitchat while waiting for Sinoview, Des and hcmanic to arrive. During the conversation, alvin advized that CP just kena 1 raid earlier in the afternoon, hence the streets were quite dead. At around 6+, the rest of the gang arrived (Train from SZ) - we decided no matter what, we'll be commandos and will cheong whatever the alert is. We also concluded that being the adventurers that we are, New Century would be our first capture point.

After dinner, which I must say, farrrrrking good (yummmy ribs), we headed straight for New Century. The hardware from the outside / inside looks nice and grand. I've finally put my mind to rest that the place I originally thought was New Century is actually Price (Tai zi). Anyway, on our way to the rooms, we saw alot of girls running around. Not bad for first sight. In the room, which wasn't big but featured quite impressive hardware, we wasted no time in telling the mummy to start showing us the girls. Unfortunately, due to our pampering standard of Amazon, our common benchmark, the girls were way below standard at New Century. That of coz didn't stop our new "Kumcheng Bird" Frankie from picking his little cutie. Soon after, Sino took fancy another innocent looking cutie - leaving the rest of us to call for more chics. The key observation and general consensus between us is that the girls are 1) between 16-18 2) not properly packaged. Another thing we've realised is that the mummies are quite hot (especially Gigi and the other one - reminds me of a hot chick I saw in BKK).

Anyway, while the two romancers were busy with their birds, Alvin assured us that we'll do a Plan-B after the KTV. i.e. Fuhao MP. Despite our rejection of every batch, the mummies were working very hard in trying to get girls for the rest of the 5 of us. At this point, we've seen like almost 100-150 girls; and considering the many more which were already booked, New Century looks like a place with lotsa fishes.

At around 12, we headed back to Yalan to drop off Sino & Frankie (with their chics) for some action, and picking up Guessme for our mission plan-B. Lily came in the van to pick us up and within minutes, we were finally at Fuhao. Even at a time like 1am, there was apparently no rooms left so we had to wait. Soon enough, we were whisked to 1 room, and we sat while waiting to view the girls. The rooms are quite nice and I must say they are better than Shanhu's as they are newer and more cosy. After viewing some time, I picked a very fair slim and reasonably busty chic, Bro Alvin took one whom he eyed upon the last time he was in Fuhao, Guessme took an angpai with superb complexion and TTL (Bro Des) tits, Bro hcmanic went for his Zoe-Tay look-alike (I would give her a bloody 9 for looks) while Bro Des had his tall slutty chic....
