I suggest now or latest by the end of the season,we cannot afford to be over superstitious in rafa ability,at times we need to get 1 step backward inorder to gain 1 step forward.

It was his beliefed in mix & match that got back fire this season.Compared to the the other top three teams, there is simply no flow in the way they play nowadays.Scrappy passes, given away the ball too often etc. You named it.This whole team is not about gerrard and Torres.I am puzzled also in some matches where they dominated 70% of the ball but still ended in a draw .Lets hope Rafa can turn over a new leaf and start playing his regular line up.

I fully support you, Bro SkillFull Lick, If in Japan, many will want him to perform HARAKIRI Rafa should be replaced.

Losing to Barnsley is absolutely unacceptable. We have strikers who could not score [not just this match] and defenders who could not defend well

Turn over new leaf oso no use...... he needs his sidekick Paco back.
Without Paco he's a lost man.

I think sometimes the manager needs to take a step backwards and look at the results. If his so-called rotation supposed to help Liverpool to win then why are they drawing so much ? Their passes also become eratic. Their shots on target also not that impressive. They underestimated their weaker opponents. The so-called rotation policy simply is not helping Liverpool. Its a fact. Let's hope that this coming CL match the manager will choose the correct winning team formula.

Huh? Are you sure you know what you are talking or not? Or have you forgotten that Rafa was also the one that brought number 5 to Liverpool? Replace is okay la but Hara-kiri?

Anyway aren't the defenders (Finnan, Carragher, Hyppia & Riise) and strikers (Kuyt & Crouch) considered first choice (Torres is injured by the way), so you can't really blame that strikers not scoring or defenders not defending well on Benitez? Probably only the choice of keeper and leaving out Gerrard and Mascherano is suspect.

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Disappointing result no doubt. When Barnsley scored in injury time, can't help but feel frustrated and angry. But looking back, I think this is one of the better matches we have played recently. We actually had many shots on goal. Well, true that if you dun score, u dun win. But think abt it, in recent matches, our attacking moves often break down before we can even shoot!

I think we are holding onto too many baggages. A lot of players have seen better times, better form and better games. We got to bench or sell those that are underperforming so that those waiting for their chances on the sidelines can have a go at securing a slot in our team. I think Riise, Finnan, Alonso, Kuyt, Kewell should go. Kuyt cannot be considered a half decent striker to me.

When was the last time we saw Alonso making sweeping 40m passes? Riise scoring thunderbolts, Finnan not panicking in defence, Kewell actually beating the rightback and delivering a decent cross, Kuyt actually threatening to score?

I hope Rafa gets his team selection right for Inter. Dropping our first team goal keeper, first choice central midfield pairing (Gerrard and Macherano) was a huge risk. Thought Rafa says he like to take 1 match at 1 time? Why is he always thinking of a few matches in advance these days?

If we sack Rafa now, my main worry is we may not qualify for Champions League next year.

Right bro. If only the world is so simple that everything can be blamed on rotation. One thing we can blame Rafa for is weakening the side by leaving out our two top scorers but you see both Wenger and Fergie did the same thing and one of them thrashed the other (which is tantamount to saying Fergie is better at rotation than Rafa???).

But Rafa has also said, and I agree with him, that if we can't beat Barnsley at Anfield with a team full of internationals even without Stevie and Torres, something is wrong indeed. That's just good common sense to me.

I share your sentiments. Ask Ferguson in person then he would probably tell you deep down from his heart that it's always easier for him to win the league title.
Rafa is master tactician, but he has been very stubborn & making recurring mistakes. His position is further weakened again with our shock FA Cup exit,as we all know Tom Hicks doesn't like him.
He gave up in the Reading game & got the results we all wanted in the Marseille game. Hindsight is wonderful thing, let's see whether we can get pass Inter then judge on his decision to rest Gerrard & Torres in the Barnsley game.

well said bro,i could not have said it better.the players u mentioned r all internationals for thier respective nations n they cld not deal with a team frm the lower div, thats the beauty of the f.a.cup.rafa always puts out a team which he feels will do the job but once again the players let him down.lets be honest we did not need gerrard or masch to beat barnsley.i feel that things r not rite with the club n its got nothing to do with the manager or is rotation policy.

Nothing to do with rotation again. The players Rafa fielded are good enough. The problem is too many chances have been created and not converted.
