Is it possible the assistant referee took it in stride that Andy Johnson was coming back from an off-side position initially and therefore deemed him to be "interfering with play"?

Anyway...agree it was a harsh decision

AJ was not interfering with any play until he received the ball. And any unfair advantage was wiped off after he received the ball when there were already 2 defenders on him! Really bizarre decision.

The commentators keep saying that GKs are the most protected species on the field. I beg to differ; its the refs that r receiving the preferential treatment. This situation has to change sooner rather than later.

btw, anyone been to Victoria Bar (in Intercontinental Hotel_Bugis Parco)?
passed by there last evening and saw 3 Everton Jerseys hanging(framed up) on the wall....

1 was Johnson (i think with autogragh), 1 yobo and then other one with Chang sponsor....

Had kopi at TCC couple of weeks ago but didnt sight any Toffee jerseys when moving ard the area.

He is slowly slipping out of the picture despite been given a second chance at the start of the season.

The performance by Jag yesterday was awesome. He was practically a one-man wall against Brann. He is definitely going to catch the eye of the England manager if he keeps up these sort of performances.
