Joo Chiat being turned into “Little Vietnam”

Joo Chiat was famous for its pubs where Vietnamese freelance hookers ply their trade both within and outside in the streets before they were raided by the police.

Now, it appears that they are making a “comeback” in a different form – as “bar ladies”. There are an increasing number of restaurants appearing in Joo Chiat who employ hot sexy Vietnamese girls as waitresses, many of which operate till the late hours of the night.

It is not known if these Vietnamese “customer service officers” provide “extra friendly service”.

Joo Chiat is the constituency of PAP MP Chan Soo Sen who draw much flak lately from netizens over his refusal to condemn his protege YPAP leader Jack Lin Xinli for his callous comments on Singaporeans being “third class citizens”.

Chan once boasted that the vice activities in Joo Chiat have been “eradicated” due to his efforts. He may need to pay a re-visit to the restaurants of Joo Chiat soon.
