I prefer Sukhumvit is safest and less sleazy than Silom/Patpong... most happening between sois 1 and 23... (soi 3 is the only sleazy soi with cocktail of Arabs, Africans, Indians....I checked out the disco at Grace Hotel and foudn myself rocking with Saddam Hussein and Osama lookalike...also coolest man here is short 2-3ft man of Sukhumvit who hangs ard this disco with his camera)
of 'cos if by short fun, you mean short time, then hotels like A-One, Siam Htl offer 2-3 hrs stay for 400-500b
Quite a no of BTS stations like Asoke, Nana along Sukhumvit and also MRT station Sukhumvit.
As for food stalls along Sukhumvit tends to jack it up as literally all customers are farangs and their TGs... Best time to eat here is after 2am when Nana disco/Thermae coffeeshop and FLs starts going home and they eat at stalls to try and hook customers
Tourists gal quality in Sukhumvit is bad....only spotted few stunning young American teenager but they with their parents

Whats the standard there like? Thinking of staying emerald, palazzo or merchant court.Which hotel is good to stay when cheong? Best walking distance to all the good places.

Anyone knows which is a good hotel to stay when go cheong? Of course preferably guest friendly and convenient to cheong places.

Budget $150 per night going for 3 nights. Currently looking at merchant court but read from thread here not so guest friendly now? Looking at 4 star and above.

I've read through this thread a couple times but still can't decide.

All 3 hotels are within walking distance of MPs.

Palazzo is okay. They do not have a bath tub. It is right next door to Mirage MP. Natree MP is a short walk away.

Emerald is a good class hotel. Well maintain and furnished. But confirmed must pay 600 baht for bringing girls.

Merchant Court also must pay extra to bring girl in. But it is very stylish and opulent.

This is about Siam Beverly. I just stayed there over the last weekend. Nice service. At first was given a room stinking of cigarette smoke. Called Recep to change and the Bellboy came up 5 min later and walked me to a new room.
BUT... it is NOT girl friendly. I left my key card with the Recep, and when I brought a girl back ad collected the card, they immediately checked their computers and asked for 600baht for the guest fine.
Doh! And I thought I did my research! Maybe this could be prevented if I've not dropped my key card off at the Recep. You can carry it with you. Sigh...

brother thaivisitor is correct..I go bangkok very month for biz and I stay in palazzo every time. Have been bringing up girls all the while and have no problem.

by the way, the karaoke in palazzo is closed and so is sparks in emerald...dun know what happened..any bro knows?..use to be able to get PRC girls in sparks..for THB1500 for whole night.

I like it a lot...actually more than with the thai's! They are not dead meat like the local...that mean's they get high and get wet!!!!.....there was this PRC I took back, we did 69 for 10 mins and suddenly she turn around me and ride me, saying she can't take it anymore!!! wow!!!! damn shiok and for thb1000 only!

Just an update on Siam Beverly.
I stayed there last weekend and they are NOT girl friendly! When I got my keys from the Recept with my girl behind me, was asked to pay 600baht because I had registered as a single person. Dang! Maybe could have avoided that if I had kept the keys with me.
