Bro, it's not one or the other. You need both teamwork/unity and that special winning mentality which borders on individual arrogance. It's the work of the manager to balance the two and create that winning combination.

Chelsea have it, the Scum have it.

It's very clear that our current team defers greatly to Gerrard and as long as we are a one man team, we won't win the league (or else we would have won it long ago since Stevie has had many great seasons).

sori bro i beg to differ we r not a 1 man or a 2 men team,u guys forgot that we won more games when gerrad was not in the team,i believe rafa does not want to build a team ard any 1 player or 2.i believe we have a premiership winning team in them somewhere.yes this 2 players have been awesome for us this season but pls do not forget the contribution of the other players,there have been some good team performances n thats wat we need tmr nite against chelski.long live rafa n the reds.lets invade moscow. it wll be biggest reds invasion since chairman mao s red revolution

Fernando Torres is relishing the challenge of winning his personal duel with the Chelsea defence and firing Liverpool to Moscow tomorrow night.
Torres came in for some rough treatment at the hands of both John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho during last week's first leg at Anfield but he's confident he'll rise to the challenge of the physical battle at Stamford Bridge and help the Reds wipe out John Arne Riise's unfortunate own goal.

"I have wanted to play against guys like John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho for a long time, and they do me an honour by giving me a tough time," he said.

"Now I'm going to try to respond to them by getting a couple of goals against Chelsea.

"Everybody dreams about playing in the Champions League, and in the space of a few months I have gone from watching it on TV to having a part in it and I already have plenty of memories.

"My goal at the San Siro when we beat Inter Milan 1-0, the 4-0 win over Marseille, and my goal in the 4-2 win over Arsenal – now it is the turn of Chelsea."

Netting the goal which takes Liverpool to Moscow would be the latest in a series of highlights during a stunning first season in English football for Torres - but it's the manager he is keen to credit with most of his success.

He added: "(Rafa) calculates everything, including runs and flights of the ball, and studies it on his computer.

"If he tells you to stand five feet from the penalty spot, it's not in your best interests to be six feet from it!

"He'll show you that the extra distance makes the difference between a goal and a missed chance – and it has worked for me.

"The proof for me is I had never scored a club hat-trick in my life before joining Liverpool, but I've since got three, against Reading, Middlesbrough and West Ham.

"Rafa explained everything to me before I even signed – how we would play, and what our aims were. He even gave me a work schedule in advance.

"He has great powers of seduction, and makes crazy demands on us. At the end of training, when we are all tired, he can still make us repeat routines 20 or 30 times.

"Nobody is sure of his first-team place at Liverpool. Rafa is merciless, and anyone who wants to play in matches has to earn the right in training.

"It is different to Spain, where only an earthquake can change the pecking order at a club.

"You soon learn the Liverpool way of doing things. If you train like an amateur you end up dropped to the bench for the next game."

I haven't really gone thru all the networks but from some the quality not bad...but then again you need to go to each individual countries and see what prog do they have listed becos not all of them has a sports station...UK does have one but the quality quite bad in big screen...

Damn if the team really wants to get thru then think it is time Benitez used the "HAIRDRYER" treatment on the players cos the first half was absolutely rubbish..Benitez got no choice he got to go for attack now...might as bring out Babel in place of Benayoun and Crouch up front and push Gerrard back taking Alonso out...
