Recently Lavendar area raided.

Looks like these places are getting greedy and hence get in to trouble.

Lots of them on wechat with photos and addresses obvious to all.

Bukit Batok, McPherson, Paya Lebar, Lavendar all in trouble already.

Now left is Serangoon, Hoougan, Kovan, AMK, Sembawang, Yishun area

It's not just because it is a lucrative trade. IMHO the people who are involved in running shady businesses, they often have no other good avenues to turn to. Maybe lack of qualifications or have criminal record - doors are closed.

Yup, exactly my point. The authorities can sweep & uproot everything if they want to. After all, it's the authorities who grant licences. But they also know the realities & consequences if they were to completely eradicate all such activities.

There is always a trigger point. Raids occur when things really get out of hand, which is the case in NBR & many other areas recently. Same situation with the health centres in the recent past.
