1) Which reasonable 4*star hotel (with X-rated movies in the room) are there in Bangkok?

2) Should I book the hotel from Singapore or should I walk-in and book? In terms of savings, which is better?

3) Going free & easy i.e booking own hotel/airline.....do we save alot instead of booking thru travel agency?

Is it cheaper to DIY or use a tour agent? Speaking from recent experience, DIY may be slightly cheaper. As I'm planning a trip up bkk this vesak day weekend, I've tried getting prices from
1. Sunny Holidays (Bugis Junction) $599/pax for Fri to Mon. Maybe 3/4 star hotel. Flying via TG.

2. Travel Agent (Penisular Plaza) $499/pax for vesak weekend same as sunny holiday but don't know what airline they're using.

Now for the DIY prices

Airline tickets from MISA travel near China town: Value air
$270/pax return

Internet booking: Watana Mansion: 500baht/ day

total expenditure: maybe $399/pax

Hey Bro, a couple of weeks ago I bought Valuair ticket through their website for $220 (incl taxes) after visa discount of $10. In fact you can get promotional $98 (excl taxes) for certains flights. Check out Tiger Airways for their $9.98 per way promotional flights.

1) Where abt in Bangkok, u want to stay??? Bangkok is big.

3) Of cos DIY is cheaper. U can choose to take budget air.

Can anyone confirm if Emerald is currently gal-unfriendly ? Heading up next month and would hate the inconvenience of signing in every nite...not to mention the additional costs!
