sorry for a little out of topic here... can any bros enlighten me what's d going rate for a small apartment in bangkok. With a budget around 5000b per month will i be able to get a decent looking apartment? thks in advance

There are "fairly" ok apartments available for monthly rent around the 5000baht range. But do note that you should also consider the location and access to BTS (Skytrain). The water and electric usage are usually charged separately from the rent so do be careful as some building owners "inflate" these utility costs.

Good one !!! Do you have more lobang for Apartments in ratchada /hway kwang area?? I remeber there's an apartment called LA Tower and another one behind Juscos..u got lobang? I only got quote for Regent Condo in Intermara, i need a few more to compare.

Watana Mansion: does this place have in-room safes? or safe deposit box in the main lobby?
Would it be best to book with them directly or use the various booking websites on line for best value (in both price and added features, like breakfast?)--BTW: are their breakfast any good?
And does anyone know if any of the airport coach buses pass by this place?

Request for 4th or 5th storey rooms. There is safe box in each room.

The price is abt 500-550B, so book with the site u trust.

No idea cos never take coach bus from airport. Taxi to ratchada is less than 150B excludes Toll.

I will try and book a room at Watana Man. for my stay in Nov.
Since I never tried any of the websites before to book for Watana, may I ask which ones U used in past for good results?
Also, As I'm sure this place is not too well known to all in BKK.
Do U know of any websites that have Watana Mansion's address written in Thai?--so can give to taxi driver for dropping off at front entrance and not have him get lost in BKK looking.

BTW: Is the single room (bed) big enough for 2 --gal and me(in case I really get "lucky"

I usually book from this site for Watana mansion, recently the price went up by 50b, I guess it is because of different season. There is a map in the website. If the taxi driver still dunno, tell the driver to go Poseidon, on the main road just at the end of Poseidon, there is a small road to turn left, tell him to turn. After abt 100 to 150m, u can c the mansion. U can also c a mini mart.

talking about 4th/5th storey rooms...me and Bro Thai75food had very bad experience there....KNN just imagine the bathroom lights trip numerous times when a TG was doing blow job for me at the bathtub.....

Stayed at Wattana Mansion a couple of months back when I was in Bangkok. Location wise quite convenient among the MPs and near to subway. But for 550 bht which include b/fast, do not expect much from the room. Imagine when I checked into the room, a cockroach was staring at me in the bathroom ........ however room service there is very cheap (25bht onwards) and there is free internet access of 30 mins per day..and there is also a minimart at the lobby.....but overall good value for money. Staring at that cockroach might be nicer than staring at some of the ugly WL I read about on this forum.
