Visit the website and pics looks good for this place but location said it was almost 1km to nearest train station. I like to be near local transport but 1km seems a bit far. As far as for price and location, how does this place compare to Watana Mansion Thanks |

Re: Hotels in Bangkok
At the guest friendly hotels, you will never have to pay any joiner fees. You will need to pay only at the NOT GUEST FRIENDLY hotels such as Ambassador, Zenith etc.
The bets quality and price wise at at the moment is The Majestic Grande on Sukhunvit Soi 2. Highly recommended. Prices we sell for are Grande Superior 2650 Baht. Grande Premier 2862 Baht. Grande Deluxe 3498 Baht. Ignore the website prices, just to keep the hotel happy. Never sell at these rates. President group are ok, used to be the best. However huge prices increases acroos the board have made it expensive now. Majestic Grande has had hundreds of bookings from me recently, cause its great. If you arer on a budget and dont need a swimming pool, then Town Lodge is highly recommeded. Now popular with Samsters. Only 1080 Baht/night. Check it out. Cheers Tim Ambassador not grilfriendly is strange because I had no problems with guests there 2 years ago. I made sure I booked for 2 than. Anyway thanks for your quick replies.[/QUOTE] |

Re: Hotels in Bangkok
Hi Tim,
Thanks for the tips. Also fror teh girlfriendly hotels..just need to wait for the scrolling to start. Correct about the Zenith...500bht joiners fee. The majestic grande looks really nice. How much is teh royal president? Is your price lower than with the website? But the first part of my trip will be with some friends who are on a rather tight budget. 1000/1500baht max. Which hotel would you recommend? I am thinking of the area around siamsquare and Sukhumvit. The Town Lodge looks real nice. How far is it to the BTS station? Meters/minutes. What about the majestic suites? Is it any good? I hope it's not like the Grand President...I nearly got one of their old rooms. It was so dirty and dingy. Felt like a cheap motel to me... Anyway for my friends who are not real mongerers...the sights and shopping of BKK is also important. That's why my choice of Sukhumvit area and the closeness of BTS station. |

Re: Hotels in Bangkok
Hi Guys,
Do any of you guys know any local BKK Travel Agents who can book rooms for guest using voucher and not through internet bookings ? Would prefer to pay cash or credit card at their local office. The main reason is that it is extremly hard to get refund when you shorten your stay in the case of some emergency when you book through the internet. Preferebly an agent near Ratchada as i prefer to stay there due to it's convenience to all the hot spots. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Hotels in Bangkok
Take a hotel namecard when you are there with the hotel name in Thai writing. And just show it to the driver.
