I am not so sure abt that. A number of years ago (I think it was 2000 or 2001) when I was staying there, my colleague and I were able to bring gals back to our rooms pass the security people (in suits) without being questioned (just a knowing smile from them....hehehe).

Hi Wolverman,

Sorry, forgot to mention $270 includes all singapore taxes. Actual was $199 plus $71 for taxes. I thought it was rather expensive but compared to prices I'm getting from the agents, its seems reasonable.

Another factor was the flight timing: Value air (VF) leaves SIN @ 1645 hrs. Like that can apply half day leave and still make it on time. And leaves BKK @ 1145 hrs. Reach home and still miss the peak hour jam.

BTW if any bros in BKK during the vesak holidays, I'll be glad to meet up for drinks. Let me know in advance.

I thought of hotel Baiyoke Sky, cost THB2200 per nite. Is it on the high side? Wonder whether this particular hotel have those "x-rated" movies in the room? I dont know Bkok that well. Bro, any idea whether theres other 4 star hotel situated nearby hotel Baiyoke sky? Tks

Hi Paul,

Tks of the reply. I will try avoiding weekends/public holidays cos' I understand theres some inconveniences eg. cost of hotel, flight and "chicks" will be on the high side. I did some calling and I found out some travel agency charges slightly more than if you go DIY. But the airport tax and etc are terribly high!

Hi Paul,

Read the s.t. Valuair having promotion buy 1 get 1 free? But take note of the hidden cost-airport tax, misc and one time chg of $60 per sector/pax!

Why you want to stay in the Baiyoke area ? The traffic around that area is real bad. Not near to the Skytrain. No good entertianment place and low end shopping areas which will not suit Sporean's standard.

It's an area where the local Thai shop their low clothing.....

Please reconsider your selection...

Hey Bro,
Why don't you try Majestic Suites at Sukhumvit. Some of the bros recently tried and said it was good. Great location - along main road and short walking distance to NEP and only at US$35 per night. I have been in one of the rooms to take a look, There are small but very clean and decent.
