Just checking for my frz:
He is a malaysian, thus he need a visa 2 enter China. He seems 2 hear frm somewhere tat at the gongbei border or macau side he can do the visa on the spot, allowing him 2 enter china without having 2 do the visa in singapore(as he is flying frm here). Is it true? What is the needed documents & how much does it cost 2 do the visa on the spot?
Tks in advance 2 all reply
Heard abt it, but when I last went with my KL friend from Macau to ZH in year 2008, @ Gongbei Custom, asked them abt it they say no visa no entry, no way to make on the spot.....U-turn my friend back.
I've read that you can get an 'on the spot visa' only for Zhuhai area:
"If you are only visiting the Zhuhai area, three-day visas upon arrival are available at the border. Upon entering the Gongbei immigration building, after passing all the duty free shops, the visa office is behind a green door on the right hand side of the hall. Follow the stairs and you will find the office on the left. You need to complete a small white form, pay the fee and have your photograph taken with a webcam. The visa is then processed within minutes. This costs ¥160 for most nationalities, but Americans cannot use the service and Brits have to fork out ¥450 (December 2008). Hong Kong dollars are not accepted. Currency can be converted at the China Tourist Services office back downstairs in the main immigration hall, but usually at an awful rate. Once the visa has been issued, proceed to the immigration hall to complete the immigration process."
Keep in mind things in China Change all the time and you can't be sure if its current. Best bet is to avoid this and get a visa in KL before going- can then go anywhere in china and no surprises at the border.

bro, most of the happening place in shenzhen is ex. haha, if you manage to find one that is not ex. please let us know too. Average KTV spending per night is 1k/pax (mei mei not included)
if weekday go, then go try 欢乐谷 and 世界之窗 呗 weekend too many ppl, long queues for the rides.

I believe it is the hotel responsibilities to protect their guests ...
Thus i would advise all not to stay in this hotel for ur sake ...
i cannot imagine if they were to break into my room while i was sleeping in the middle of the nite if i forgot to latch from the inside ...
珠海国泰酒店不可住
Thanks!! It's quite a new hotel right?
I was thinking they should refund you the $ you paid upfront for the room. Anyway, hope all Bros steer clear of this hotel.
I stayed in JinYu and JiaLiWanHao hotels for my miserable 2 times visit to ZH GB. Luckily, everything was intact during my length of stay.
But in PRC land, nothing is for certain......
