Hi Bros. It's been over a year since I left Shanghai but find myself heading back for work for a few days next week. Was hoping to visit some of the old HCs that I enjoyed in the past. Are the raids actually going on? Are HCs really to be avoided?

many HC are given orders to stay low for the moment. It is not like police rush into HC and RAID the place... HC with powerful backing can still open like 南方会所 and 999... but u can imagine the crowd.. low supply high demand.

so overall bad time to come.. BBS are shut down too.. and these really ought to be avoided even if it is open.

KTV are open though.. if u can afford 2000 to bring the gal back.

next mth 22th, going to SHA for a wk, during which 3 days will be in NJ..

Bro spoonfork? Ya man, he's going to CP again on 18 May.. Now dat our offices r just across each other, i hv kopi wif him like 3 times a wk! Really feel like going wif him, but I'm not one who will fly to a place just to chiong lor. A trip like dat wld easily set me back S$1k, which at my present situation, seems a little too much. Unless work n play at the same time..

I seem to remember a nice HC (soapy one) on the corner of Changping Rd & Chang De rd and also one down near the 80k person staduim - maybe that was a 999.

Can anyone tell me if these places are still there and open?

Have been told many atimes lately due to forthcoming World Expo & all its related activities, there have been many anti-vice raids going on by the local Police. A few of the large HC establishment along Wuzhong Road have been raided..........

I'm going Shanghai next week and would like to seek your kind advice as follows:

1) Motel 168 selected
2) Any Motel 168 location recommedations? Near Bund, Raffles City Shopping or of convenience in terms of transportation?
3) Places i'll be going is all around town area.
4) Choose which type of room, got Big bed, business big bed etc.
5) 2 persons going.

Always go on company trip stayed at Ryden at Chang Sou Lu, but rather ex at 400RMB per night.
