Bro player88, its more or less convenient to/fro airport to Sukhumvit as compared to jam/crowded places like Pratunam but depending on how convenient you can accept (its abt 20~30 mins by cab give n take) but if u wan shopping in MBK, u can take Skytrain there, quite convenient and better than taking cab esp during peak hours.

But still depends on ultimately wat exactly you wanna do in BKK, if solely for shopping and trad massage only, its better to jus stay at Pratunam area.
If soapy massage and sex, discos, Agogo bars, Ratchada and Sukhumvit is jus the place

I think you should settle which hotel in which area you want to stay first, wouldnt worry so much abt finding traditional massage places as there are many can be found all over BKK esp near the hotels, jus simply check with your hotel where is the nearest one, jus beside Palazzo Hotel at Ratchada, you can find 3 or 4 of them side by side but if shopping is ur priority you should look for hotels at Pratunam area or in Chinatown but if u want mix of all including entertainment nightspots then Sukhumvit and Ratchada area is best..

ahh got family going along ah if not couple only then better you choose a 3 or 4 star hotel better, suk11 is more like a cosy packpackers type of hotel more for those rugged/adventurous/budget type of tourists.

no need to constantly update cus more info u will be more lost n confused, jus plan ur budget, ur itenary (like wat u want to do, daytime night time), wat type of food u want to eat (restuarants or road stalls) then u narrow down to which places is better
