Further to my above, please note that population figures in China are based upon individual home town HuKou registration and Guangdong, being a very prosperous province, imports a lot of people from all over the country - and I'd suggest, most of them are females.
Never mind the "entertainment" industry, just stand outside any factory in Guangdong and you will usually see an ocean of mostly females streaming in and out; go to just about any shops/restaurants/golf courses/banks/hotels and even offices, you will see the large majority of the wait/sales/service personnel are females. The only "imbalance" being acutely felt by males in this province are by those in the lower socio-economic strata; for them, life can indeed be problematic. SEAJ

follow my friend to CP in 2009 for Christmas get away and since than has been there twice annually.
following are the few locations have visited: 1) CP - near the train station 2) 黄江 - 太子酒店 which was one of the hot topic during last years yellow-raids 3) CA 4) 凤岗 5）塘厦 I am more familiar with small towns which some of bros here might not find the town name familiar. But most of the hong-kong and taiwan bros frequent these small town as the service in CP has been deteriorating since 2012. I have a few bad experience with KTV in CP and the friends from Hong Kong and Taiwan recommend me to join them and have fun in the smaller town. You can still find KTV with girls, price would be high, quality - to the eye of the beholder. Accompany you to drink is already RMB400 at the lower category. You might find a gem if you are lucky. there might be a "wow" girl once in a while but the attitude mostly suck, unless you happen to be her type. Therefore my theory is "now you still pay but is the girl's choice to go out with you or not  "Imagine if 1-night the girl can have RMB400, 20-days would be a manager's paid, therefore unless she itch or you look like her dream-boy, else you will only received cold face the whole night. And there is not much you can do as the mama and the manager is handy cap, not like the old days, the mummy eye can kill the girl on the spot. For some of the KTV which has no mummy (yes, some of the KTV change the name to "Family-KTV" to stay operate.) you can have more "KJ" in the room and "hehe" you might hit right with one of them (still have to pay....but you negotiate with the KJ) All and all, the ground has changed as per now within the small towns I am in. I happen to keep a few good contact with some mummy and they are still in the scene in the small towns. From them, at least I get to know the situation on the ground prior me bringing friends/customer there. I always brief my friend/customer up-front that they might not get what they want, but can always tell me and I will see what the mummy can do. will be in DG small town before CNY. If any improvement, I will update.

i dropped by CP sometime back and i don't believe it....
first time ganna foot massage by man! ha! how times changed. my friend recommended a small massage shop nearby virgin hotel... last time 2 babe, now 1 man? lol... but surprisingly it was goood... forgot to mention, the shop owner used to be the teacher for huimei foot massage or something. then left to do his own business..
