Those gong an are surfing websites that recommends those places...heard recently a manager of a ktv was ask to paid RMB100000 and had to stay in jail for 15 days before being released. Guess that's how they carry out raids in HJ Dongguan.

Staying with family / GF: Garden Hotel / China Hotel (Rest I haven't stayed @ before) - 5 Star

For cheonging only: Landmark, Baiyun, Holiday Inn, Riverside (Intl 3 to 4 Star)

For business: White Swan (exceptional) but abit far from the main city area (Intl 5 Star)

Since I was permanantly based here, I do not live in Hotels anymore. However, I've tried all of the above. Most 4 stars and below are Girl Friendly. Those like China Hotel, White Swan...alittle harder.

I will be going to Guangzhou next week and will be interested to find out the following about Chang Ping town:

* Is Chang Ping very near to DG?
* If yes, will the various mp or joints be affected as DG and HJ are having many raids for the last few weeks?
* Any girl-friendly hotel that are 3-4 stars to stay in Chang Ping in order to be near to all the actions?
* How can one get to Chang Ping from GZ?

- No, Changping is nearer to Shenzhen rather than Guangzhou.
- Raids are conducted randomly. However, if you wanna cheong MPs, then HJ or DG is probably your best place to go. In HJ, goto Shanhu or Sheraton - presumably the same owner, he also has very strong backing. So usually, at most the MPs are restricted to just standard massage, rather than you getting caught with your pants down.
- To get to Changping, usually what you can do is, take a train from GZ to ZMT (50 bucks, 50 minutes ride). Then take a cab from there, 20-30 minutes.

I was there for 5 days about two months ago. Unfortunately, both Sheraton and SanHu were "closed" for happenings. I then made a last attempt at Jia Hua and they allowed the two Taiwanese men before me to enter through a special door but not me. Spent that few days "da fei ji" and felt frustrated.

Is there any way to get through the "gatekeepers" at SanHu, Sheraton or Jia Hua? If not, may have to try other locations like Shanghai or Hangzhou.

Next time before you go, say 1-2 days in advance, PM me and I'll give u a few contact numbers of the supervisors. This way, you're guaranteed a room + girl and maybe if u're lucky, u may get free room rentals as well. (part of their gimmicks).

Alternatively, there are so many other places other than Shanhu and Sheraton on HJ's street. Just pop into a few and you're bound to get lucky!

Theres this place, Kang Di (in HJ) that offers Jap-Style Themes. Not bad for a change. 3rd Floor. Lemme know if its still there if you do go!
