Another one who simply misunderstood my point. Honesty have got nothing to do in this case.

My message was this. In a scenario where a rich guy goes around showing off his wealth. What happened? the answer is simple. He is likely to become a target of crime.

In this scenario, the robbers are guilty of robbing, but other will say to the victim, if he didnt Haolian, he might not have got himself into this.

Dear Captian, I was citing this example cos I believe we should safe guard our belongings so that robbers/thiefs wouldn't have any chance to do crime .. which is equivalent to gals who wear short skirts should be careful with their revealing attire so that perverts wouldnt have chance to take upskirt pictures.

If we safe guard and be careful .. chance of crime happening on us wil be lesser. you agree?

The rich deserve it .. he likes to show off = a contributing factor but definitely its not an excuse or a reason for the robber to rob him.

So you're suggesting that simply because a person is showing off his wealth, every robber has the right to rob him although it is not right. You'll have a hard time too to define what's haolian and what's wearing too revealing a dress. Imagine a rapist rape your sister or one of your relation, and the defending lawyer argue with the judge about the "degree of revealingness of the dress" that your sis or relative wore, how would you feel? Ridiculous right? To you, your relative may be fully covered, but the trangressor may feel that it's very revealing. In a different era, there's different standard for labelling when it comes to what's being revealing and what's not. A person from Ming Dynasty, if he were somehow kept alive by some miracle will certainly die again of heart attack (with probably a hardened cock) if he sees the type of "revealing" dress that modern women are wearing in the street!

Captian, understand what you trying to drive at. In a real sense, there will always be occassions where we would say the victim deserve it because of their attitude or behaviour. However, in this instance, I would say just because a woman wears a short skirt or a low cut dress/blouse, it is irrational to say she was asking for pics of her upskirt/downblouse to be taken. If she complains about a guy looking up her skirt while going up an escalator (actually hor, what so nice of seeing that ah?), I would say she is being an idiot. If she complains about a guy taking pictures of her upskirt, then I would say the guy deserves to be fuck.

First and foremost, i think most people here will appreciate if you could refrain from using personal quote( e.g if "your sister" bla bla bla).

and if you are not aware, the court takes the "revealing part" into consideration when handling out a sentence. I was in the police force for 20 years and i am clear about that. I just wish you have done some research before you post.

Again let me say that taking upskirt is not correct, but we should look at the bigger picture, if bro Dnat can see it. I don;t understand why some people just cannot see the logic in my "haolian showing off money" example.

Sorry about the "sista" part. I really didn't mean to offend. It was just to illustrate. Anyway, point noted.

However, the "haolianness" part of your argument has a problem. From the Buddhist philosophical point of view, every sentient beings has the same mental factors (51 of them) and it all boils down to the condition of the being concerned at that point of time when phenomena take place and how he/she/it react with the most prevailing mentor factors. Like that, all the victims of robbery can be blamed for the "haolianness" however subtle that "haolianness" that exist in that mental continuum at that point of time.
