You are 100% correct - dial-up nowadays very, very slow ....... start dial-up, go make kopi, drink hot coffee and still not connected yet ....... can go to toilet and PCC, then maybe just connected ....... after some time got disconnnected ...... must dial-up again and again ........ somemore nowadays very hard to get connect to SBF using dial-up ( BTW I am now in an internet cafe tying this posting )

My streamyx was downed for 2 days. Cannot live without internet. Forced me to use Maxis wap. Damn expensive 1kBs = $0.005. One MP3 (5 MB) = $25.00

Now DIGI got promotion... Just buy a HP labtop(around RM3500) from DIGI, and DIGI will give u unlimited online. and the payment u can pay by installment(24months). so next time u just bring the labtop and u can online any place u like. No need to go Cyber Cafe or streamyx...

kekeke.... then my connection is fast lor.. bcoz when i finis PCC ( i cum fast)... online oredi wor. So time of finis of PCC is not a good indicator of internet speed...

Upgrade your connection first then only ask for the juice lah.
Anyway, just to update you guys. MAXIS is also having a WI-FI promotion. Dun even need to buy the lap top. Just have to register with a plan of RM 88 or RM 99 per month for the WIRELESS connection. Speed is a little slower than streamyx but it is handy and it is BATTERY operated. Pretty interesting.

GO CHECK IT OUT BRO KT.

My dear Brothers,

In actual fact, the advertised speed is determined by the area you are staying and also how far are you from the "ROCKET" (telephone connector) and also not forgetting if your area is Fibre Optics or still running on analogue lines.
Lucky for me, I'm running on Fibre Optics and the speed is well ABOVE the advertised speed.

So, Food For Thought.
