Is very much depend on what you want to do and calculate your own budget, is hard to me to tell you how much you need without know how long you plan to stay, you have any sg bank that can tt to your thai bank, etc.

For me I come & go and I can always tt from my bank acc in sg to thai acc if I need extra cash, so I don't bring much cash unless like the previous time I need to pay deposit for house and condo so I bring usd cash 40k. Usually a few month once will go sg or jkt and bring usd 10-20k for few month expenses.

The way you ask seem like once you come to CM and not intend to go back sg anymore??

Anyway not met both Soapy & Nonteerak yet, but some other ninja bro living in CM who just read forum but seldom post.
