Hotel81 cheats, dont pay EXTRA for big/good room

Yesterday night went to Hotel 81 cosy (Chinatown) and gave them S$20 for a room, the reception told me there is no S$20 room now, and asked me if I want a "Big Room" which is available but need to pay S$30, told them dont want BIG ROOM and will wait, and asked need to wait for how long, told me need to wait at least 15 - 20 minutes , and they asked me to give them my handphone number and go out to wait; I told them dont need to go out lao, will wait in the lobby, and then sited down in the sofa.

after one minute another guy called my name and passed me the room key, looked at the guy who asked me to pay S$30 and he just looked down at the floor.

So all brothers, be alert about the Hotel 81 tricks, and dont pay extra for big/good rooms. I think the AV targeting them in recent raids maybe becos AV also got cheated by them before during fun times hehe

i also kena quite a few times liao....can be ranging anything from 1minutes to 10minutes wait....they gey siao want to earn more only...i also a hotel81 member treat me like that...nothing but just a bunch of cheaters...

went to a hotel81 near bugis area there....1st there go there, the counter staff ask me for $30...wtf, l immediately ask him back, why 30, l tot 20 only..

then he lan lan say oh 10 is for the membership...then l told him l dun nid...then he continue say nxt time l overnight cheaper and etc, tok all this cock and bull shit....l just insist and say NO...

l mean what for, l dun nid to be member of hotel81 also...l never use the overnight services also...l noe my needs well...all l need is just the 2 hrs transit

not just that...there was once, l think l overshot the 2 hrs slightly...l time checked into the room at 2.21...

then l come out at 2.34....just 13 mins, and they told me, they hav to charge me $10 more...wtf, cant bother to argue and l paid and just go off...

Anyway jus a piece of info for brothers, if any hotel81 staff quote u 30...just enquiry them why $30, is only $20 for the 2 hrs room mah..or u can just simply them off that u dun nid the membership...

The 2 hrs transit is only $20....

Yes,BRO,i had same experiences with other H81s...and i really think whether it's H81 or even 3 - 5 Star Hotels...it's all about upping their SALES !!!...During the peak hours or when there's a major event liked F1 when most of the Hotels are fully booked,it's probably the best time to take advantage by offering a "take or leave it" booking !!!....

At the same time at H 81,there are others that willingly pay more rather then seated or hanging around & get noticed by someone U know,then without any fuss to beat the Queue....why bother whether pay more or bigger room !!!...Did U noticed that at some H81s liked BUGIS or JLN SULTAN there isn't any seating for hotel guest ??? All they want is quick sales turnover especially with H1N1 concern,their business will be affected !!!...

Only way to get even is to use their "competitors" instead if they offer better service !!!

WTF I always thought it was always and has been 30$. My 1st time in Chinatown was 30$ then my 1st time in bencoolen was 40$ so i thought to myself the 10$ was for membership or whatnot, then my next time in bencoolen was 30$ so i thot everything is normal. so always 20$? every h81?

=> In the past i have tried H81 Bencoolen & it's always standard $30 ! And most of the time,there are available rooms there or maybe wait abit at the hotel lobby !...But parking your car & entering & leaving the hotel is definitely much too exposed !...and the room conditions badly need renovations !!!...

Best is to try their newer H 81s liked Dickson with LCD screens & mirrors all over...Guessed other BROs can share more updates here !!!

city area 81 is always 30 buck for 2 hrs, its clearly stated on their rate board.

Some h81 charges $30 (so far i know chinatown & kovan does). think all Geylang h81 charges standard $20 & $10 for an hr.
