Cheapest / Recommended place to get Hep A & B vaccine

Hi Blooders,

Any recommended place? I saw 1 vaccine near my house, can get for both Hep A and B with 1 injection.

Go to any polyclinic...I did mine at AMK polyclinic. For Hep A, there is govt subsidy and you can pay balance from Medisave. For Hep B, no subsidy. 2 shots for A and 3 shots for B over a period of 3 months(or izit 6?). Anyway, everything in not more than $100/-. The vaccine will last for 5 years.

got mine A/B for $55.....any private HDB clinic will have..

Btw, there are people who take the jabs but still get no immunity from it. Hence, it's good to do a blood check to see if the vaccine works for you a couple of months later.

why i know? because i'm one of them lah...for hep B i think. Done the shot twice....did the blood check...still get nothing out of it.

I did my vaccination in KLCC Suria. Cheap! Cheaper by 35% if I were to be done in SIngapore.

It is cheap if you can do it in J.B.! But you have to do blood test first.

The is a stretch of shop houses opposite Plaza Pelangi. These shop houses are specialist.

I can't recall how much I paid. Since I am a non-Malaysian but there is trick to ask for the price before consulting the doctor.

I think it is bcoz u already hav the virus, so vaccine no effect. can b true?

but then y dun add hep c also

touch wood ah! no leh...i'm clear thru the screening. I'm not a carrier also leh...duno why just can't receive the vaccine.

Yes, the Hepatitis A and B are the most prevalent in Singapore.
Hepatitis C is almost nonexistent here. Thus it is not necessary to get vaccinated against it.

Same with HIV-2. HIV-2 is only seen active in the African continent.
Thus most of the HIV tests around the world are only for HIV-1.
