The incident happened on Sunday where plenty of tourists were around. A large group of Caucasians had been dining at the atrium area of a restaurant at lunch time and one family had brought a portable potty for their young girl and she was spotted sitting a few metres away doing her business in the middle of the mall. The girl looked to be about 2 years old and the parents allowed the girl to defecate in public, near several restaurants instead of simply taking her to the nearby toilet. The restaurant staff where the group was dining seemed to ignore what was happening just outside their store and continued as if nothing was happening. Marina Bay Sands is a popular destination for tourists to visit and during the lunchtime crowd there were dozens of passers by but the family continued to allow their daughter to do her business.
