An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

This fucker is going to end up contracting it like so many foreign health workers and bring it back to S'pore. Huat Ah. MOH cannot even kowtim dengue fever here, and want to yah yah and fuck around with Ebola in Africa. Sinkies better stand by to contract it when this idiot returns home.

SINGAPORE - The Health Ministry will be sending a local representative to Sierra Leone to assist the World Health Organisation (WHO) in the fight against Ebola.

A public health officer will join the Ebola Support Team of the WHO's Western Pacific Regional Office.

The representative will work with experts to analyse surveillance information on suspected and confirmed Ebola cases, but will not be involved in the care of patients.

The Health Ministry will remain in close contact with the officer for all six weeks of the stint.

The Ebola Support Team was launched in January, and aims to provide technical and administrative support to ongoing efforts to control the disease.

According to the WHO, there have been a total of 26,277 reported confirmed, probable, and suspected Ebola cases in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, with 10,884 reported deaths.
